Installation and specifications

To install this recessed wall light, the corresponding back box is required, available under references 70274, 70275, and 70276. Before beginning installation, check that the recess in the wall has the correct dimensions to accommodate both the back box and the body of the recessed light. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician, with the power switched off at the main panel. This wall light operates at 220V–240V, so it is not compatible with low-voltage installations without a transformer.

To keep the glass diffuser in good condition, clean it with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the surface. The polycarbonate body requires no special maintenance, but it is advisable to periodically check the condition of the perimeter seal to ensure no moisture has entered.

Design and use

The DART SQ by FARO is an outdoor recessed light designed to be installed on a wall, at points where the light needs to be functional before decorative. Its square format and profile of just 36 mm in depth make it suitable for walls with limited thickness or for areas where a bulky wall light would not make sense.

The polycarbonate body offers good resistance to impact and to the passage of time under outdoor conditions. It is a common material in luminaires of this type precisely because it combines lightness — the wall light weighs just 70 grams — with durability. The matte black finish does not reflect ambient light and maintains a clean appearance even in areas exposed to dust or rain.

The transparent glass diffuser allows light to pass through without filtering it excessively, which is practical when the goal is to clearly illuminate an access point, a step, or a sign on the wall. The included SMD LED light source emits at 3000K, a warm colour temperature that is not harsh on the eyes and works well in gardens, patios, and facades alike.

Yes. To recess this wall light into a wall, the back box is essential, available under references 70274, 70275, and 70276. Without it, the recessed light cannot be correctly installed in the wall.

What colour temperature does the included light source emit and what type of environment is it suitable for?

The included SMD LED light source emits at 3000K, a warm light. It is a temperature that feels pleasant at entrances, in gardens, and in outdoor passageways, without generating a cold or excessively intense brightness.

Is this recessed light available in colours other than matte black?

Yes. The DART SQ is also available in white, with the same technical characteristics and dimensions. The choice between both finishes depends on the colour of the wall or facade where the wall light is to be installed.
