Overview

The FARO recessed floor light is designed for outdoor spaces where functional and durable lighting is needed. It installs flush with the floor and works without drawing attention — it simply illuminates the path, marks the edges of a walkway, or defines the outline of a terrace or garden. The 60° beam angle distributes the light upward cleanly, without unnecessary dispersion.

This recessed spotlight withstands rain, dust, and the impacts of daily outdoor use. It is made from 316L stainless steel and aluminum, materials that do not degrade with humidity or temperature changes. The clear glass protects the light source without altering the warm tone it emits. The recessed box and driver are included, so there is no need to source additional components for installation.

FARO is a brand with experience in outdoor lighting. Their products are designed to be installed in real conditions — not just to look good in a catalog, but to perform year after year without constant intervention.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this floor spotlight, verify that the chosen area has access to electrical wiring and that the ground allows excavation to the depth required for the recessed box. It is recommended to carry out the installation with the power off and, if the work involves electrical connections, to have an electrician on hand. The recessed fitting is fixed directly into the floor, whether on solid ground, paving, or concrete, and supports the passage of vehicles up to 1000 kg, making it suitable for access ways or garden paths with vehicular traffic.

The satin stainless steel finish requires no special maintenance. To clean the surface, a damp cloth is sufficient, and if dirt accumulates on the glass, it can be cleaned with water and a mild detergent. Avoid the use of abrasive products or solvents that could scratch the glass or affect the metallic finish. Since it is installed in the floor, it is advisable to periodically check that there is no accumulation of soil or plant debris around the frame.

Design and use

There are outdoor spaces that do not need large spotlights or showy installations — they need discreet lighting that does its job without being noticed. This recessed floor light from the brand FARO responds exactly to that logic. It integrates into the floor of a garden, terrace, patio, or façade, and from there emits warm 3000K lighting that defines the boundaries of the space without creating harsh contrasts.

The body of the recessed fitting is made from 316L stainless steel combined with aluminum. 316L stainless steel is especially resistant to marine corrosion and humid environments, making it suitable not only for gardens in temperate climates, but also in coastal settings or areas with high water exposure. The aluminum provides structural lightness without compromising the overall solidity. The result is a compact spotlight, 220 mm in diameter and 120 mm in height, that takes up little space but is built to last.

The transparent glass diffuser allows light to pass through without tinting or over-diffusing it. The 60° beam projects the light upward at a controlled angle, allowing it to be used to highlight vertical elements — a façade wall, a column, a tall plant — or simply to mark a route along a garden path or patio access.

The 3000K color temperature produces a warm light, similar to that of an electric candle, which is not harsh in outdoor nighttime settings. This type of lighting enhances the ambiance of terraces or rest areas, and at the same time serves as a visual guide on access paths or outdoor stairways. COB LED technology ensures uniform light emission from a compact source.

The IP67 protection guarantees that the recessed fitting withstands temporary immersion in water and contact with dust or solid particles. This is especially relevant in floor installations, where rain pools water on the surface or where irrigation systems can directly affect the spotlight. IK08 impact resistance protects against moderate impacts, and the ability to support up to 1000 kg of vehicular load makes it a valid option for access paths used by light vehicles or garden carts.

This outdoor recessed fitting works well both individually and in a line, forming light trails along a walkway or delimiting a specific area of the garden or façade. It can be combined with other floor luminaires to create a continuous lighting effect, or installed at key points to highlight specific architectural elements. It includes the recessed box and driver, which simplifies the process from the very beginning.
