Overview

The FARO recessed floor light is an outdoor lighting solution designed for those who want to visually organize and define an open-air space without installing posts or streetlights. It is set into the ground and emits an upward beam of light with a 60° opening angle, allowing you to mark pathways, define transit areas, or highlight elements in the garden or terrace.

It is a compact, low-profile spotlight that does not interfere with foot traffic. Its 316L stainless steel structure with a transparent glass diffuser gives it a discreet and durable finish. It operates with 3W COB LED technology and a color temperature of 3000K, producing warm light that is pleasant to the eye and suitable for nighttime outdoor environments.

FARO is a Spanish brand specializing in indoor and outdoor luminaires. Their products are designed for residential and architectural use, with attention to materials and real installation conditions.

Installation and specifications

For installation, it is necessary to open a hole in the ground with the appropriate dimensions for the included recessed box. It is recommended that electrical work be carried out by a qualified professional. The included driver facilitates the connection, but it is advisable to verify that the outdoor wiring is protected and suitable for outdoor use. Once recessed, the spotlight sits flush with the floor, with no parts protruding significantly.

The stainless steel body requires no special maintenance. To clean the glass diffuser, simply use a soft, slightly damp cloth. The use of abrasive products or solvents is not recommended. Although the IP67 rating guarantees protection against water, it is advisable to avoid permanent water accumulation around the box if the ground drainage is poor.

Design and use

This FARO outdoor recessed floor light is made from 316L stainless steel, a material known for its high corrosion resistance, especially in humid environments or coastal areas where the saline atmosphere can deteriorate other finishes. The aluminium that forms part of its inner structure helps dissipate the heat generated by the LED, which extends the lifespan of the spotlight. The transparent glass diffuser does not alter the color of the light and maintains a clean appearance, without yellowing or deformation over time.

The integrated COB LED light source emits warm illumination at 3000K. This type of color temperature creates a welcoming atmosphere in the garden or on the terrace, very different from cool white light that can be uncomfortable in leisure or relaxation spaces. With only 3W of consumption, the spotlight is energy-efficient and suitable for installations with multiple light points on the same line.

The 60° opening angle concentrates the light beam in a defined direction, making this recessed light a useful tool for creating illuminated pathways along a garden path, an entrance, a terrace, or a façade. Installed flush with the ground or in a paved floor, it guides the eye and facilitates transit in low-visibility conditions. Placed next to plants or architectural elements, it can subtly highlight textures and shapes.

The IP67 rating indicates that the product can withstand temporary immersion in water up to a certain depth, in addition to being completely dustproof. This makes it suitable for outdoor use with direct exposure to rain, in irrigation areas, or on surfaces that get wet frequently. The IK08 impact resistance and the ability to support rolling loads of up to 1000 kg allow it to be installed in vehicle access ways, busy pathways, or any patio area where light machinery or carts circulate.

The low profile of the luminaire, with only 65 mm in height and 120 mm in diameter, allows it to be integrated into stone, outdoor wood, concrete, or any paving surface without being intrusive. Its satin stainless finish has a neutral appearance that adapts to both contemporary design gardens and more natural environments. It can be combined with other similar spotlights to create coherent lighting along an outdoor staircase, a patio pathway, or the perimeter of a terrace.

The kit includes the recessed box and the driver, which simplifies the purchasing process by avoiding the search for additional compatible components. Compatibility with voltages between 100V and 240V makes it suitable for installations in different countries without the need for adapters.
