Overview

The FARO NARITA penjant beige lamp is a pendant luminaire designed for outdoor use. It is ceiling-mounted and works well on covered terraces, porches, patios, or gardens. Its cage-shaped shade gives it a look that pairs with modern styles as well as more natural or rustic settings.

The IP65 rating means it is protected against dust and direct water jets, so it withstands typical outdoor conditions without issue. The body is made of stainless steel with a beige finish, a neutral color that does not draw too much attention during the day but, when lit at night, creates a warm and welcoming light in the space.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting. They work with both indoor and outdoor products, and their lamps tend to stand out for the balance between careful design and practical durability.

Installation and specifications

For installation, the lamp must be fixed to the ceiling of a covered or semi-covered outdoor area. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Before starting, check that the ceiling point can support the weight of the product. The accepted voltage ranges from 100 V to 240 V, making it compatible with the standard electrical grid. The E27 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately.

For cleaning, a soft, slightly damp cloth on the stainless steel body is sufficient. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the finish. Do not handle the lamp while the installation is connected to the power supply. Although the IP65 protection allows outdoor use, it is recommended to place it under a covered area to extend its service life.

Design and use

The NARITA penjant beige is a pendant lamp designed for those looking for outdoor lighting that is neither overly industrial nor too ornamental. The cage design of the shade is one of its most recognizable features: it allows light to emerge in all directions with a soft shadow pattern, creating a pleasant atmosphere without the need for additional accessories.

The body is made of stainless steel with a beige finish, giving it stability against moisture and the temperature changes typical of outdoor environments. The beige color is neutral enough to blend into spaces with different finishes, whether a natural stone wall, a wooden fence, or a smooth coating painted in earthy tones. This versatility means the lamp works equally well in a rustic setting as in one with more contemporary lines.

The diffuser is made of PEMD material with an opal finish. This type of finish softens the light emitted by the bulb and prevents a direct, glare-producing bright spot. The result is a more diffused and enveloping light, suitable for illuminating a seating area in the patio or for accompanying a home entrance with a calm visual presence.

The lamp's dimensions are compact: 264 mm in diameter and 279 mm in height. It does not take up too much visual space and is a reasonable option whether installed alone or with several units in a row under a pergola or along a porch. In spaces such as a covered balcony or an outdoor gallery, a single unit may be sufficient to provide functional lighting without overcrowding the ceiling.

The IP65 certification ensures that neither dust nor water affects the lamp's operation under normal outdoor use conditions. This makes it suitable for areas exposed to lateral rain or with high ambient humidity, although it is always advisable to install it under a roof to better protect the materials over the long term.

It works with an E27 LED bulb of up to 12 W. This type of fitting is the most common on the market and compatible bulbs are easy to find in any hardware store or lighting shop. The maximum power of 12 W is sufficient to generate warm and welcoming light in medium-sized outdoor spaces, without high energy consumption.

The NARITA lamp pairs well with garden furniture in natural tones, with stone or wood paving, and with metal structures in dark or neutral colors. On a terrace with plants, its beige color and geometric lantern shape blend in effortlessly. It also combines with low-height ground-level lights if a more complete outdoor lighting scheme is desired.

Questions and answers

Does the NARITA lamp have sufficient protection to be installed in a garden where it may receive direct rain?

The NARITA has an IP65 rating, which protects against dust and water jets. Even so, to extend its service life, it is recommended to install it in a covered or semi-covered area of the garden, not continuously exposed directly to heavy rain.

What type of bulb do I need to buy for this pendant lamp?

You need a bulb with an E27 fitting and a maximum power of 12 W. The bulb is not included with the product. The most common choice is a warm-tone E27 LED bulb to maintain the welcoming atmosphere proposed by the lamp's design.

Does the opal diffuser on the NARITA completely cover the bulb, or can it be seen through the cage shade?

The opal diffuser covers the bulb and softens the emitted light, preventing direct glare. The cage structure surrounding the diffuser is the visible decorative part, and it allows light to project outward with a soft shadow pattern.
