Overview

The SAIGON OUT M T70 lamp by FARO is a pendant designed for outdoor use. It works well on terraces, gardens, porches, and patios where stable and long-lasting lighting is needed. Its fixed ceiling mounting system, without tension wires, makes it more resistant to adverse weather conditions: wind, humidity, and temperature changes.

The body is made of aluminium with a dark grey finish, and the opaline diffuser distributes light evenly. No bulb is included, so you can choose the E27 LED light source that best suits your space. The lamp accepts voltages between 100V and 240V, making installation easier in different electrical configurations.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in indoor and outdoor lighting. Their products combine quality materials with a functional design intended for everyday use.

Installation and specifications

To install this pendant lamp on an outdoor ceiling, it is recommended to have a qualified electrician or technician. The anchor point must be on a solid surface that can support the weight of the luminaire. Since this is a direct-fixing model without tension wires, it is important to verify that the structural support of the ceiling is adequate. Before connecting, make sure to cut the power at the electrical panel.

Clean the body surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the aluminium finish. The PEMD diffuser can be cleaned in the same way. Do not handle the lamp while the power is connected.

Design and use

The SAIGON OUT M T70 is a pendant lamp designed for outdoor spaces where robustness matters as much as aesthetics. Its dark grey aluminium body gives it a solid, neutral appearance that integrates well in both modern environments and settings with a more rustic and organic style.

The opaline diffuser distributes light without creating pronounced shadow areas or direct glare. This is useful on a porch or terrace where comfortable lighting is wanted for spending time outdoors at night. The light is not harsh, but rather enveloping, which makes the space feel more welcoming.

The fixed ceiling mounting system, without tension wires, is one of the aspects that distinguishes this pendant lamp from other outdoor models. In areas with frequent wind or rain, tension wires can move or deteriorate sooner. By fixing it directly, the lamp remains stable and does not swing, which also reduces mechanical wear over time.

The 665 mm diameter gives it a notable visual presence. In a garden with a pergola or on a medium-sized porch, it works as the main light source. It can also be used in an interior courtyard or a covered gallery where a piece with a certain character is desired.

The total height of 965 mm allows it to hang at an appropriate distance from the ceiling without being too close to the ground. It is a measurement designed for standard outdoor ceilings, although it is advisable to check the dimensions of the space before installing it.

The aluminium body withstands exposure to outdoor elements well. It does not rust like other metals and maintains its finish with basic maintenance. The dark grey colour conceals dust and dirt accumulated between cleanings, which is a practical advantage in a garden or patio with nearby vegetation.

As for the light source, the lamp accepts an E27 LED bulb of up to 15W. The bulb is not included, so you can choose the colour temperature you prefer: a warmer light to create ambience on a terrace, or a more neutral one if the area also has a functional use. Being compatible with LED, energy consumption remains low.

The universal voltage between 100V and 240V means it can be connected without adapters in most standard domestic electrical installations. This simplifies the installation process and avoids the need for additional components.

The combination of materials, the clean design, and the direct ceiling mounting make this pendant a practical option for those looking for a durable outdoor lamp. It works equally well in a private garden or on a porch for everyday use, and its aesthetic is neutral enough not to condition the rest of the décor.

Questions and answers
