Overview

TURA is an outdoor lamp post from the brand FARO, designed to mark and illuminate paths, entrances, and garden areas. Its compact design fits well in spaces where something discreet yet functional is desired. It does not take up much space and does not visually distract from the surroundings.

The warm light offered by this lamp post creates a calm atmosphere at nightfall. Without cold tones or harsh whites, the outdoor space feels more welcoming. It is a suitable option for both private gardens and residential entrances.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a track record in indoor and outdoor lighting. Their products combine technical criteria with attention to finish and form.

Installation and specifications

To install this lamp post in the ground, it is necessary to prepare a solid base or concrete footings to ensure stability. The wiring must be buried and protected by a corrugated conduit up to the connection point. It is recommended that the electrical installation be carried out by a qualified professional, as it involves connection to the mains at 220V–240V. Before starting any work, the power supply must be switched off at the main panel.

To keep the aluminium in good condition, simply clean the surface with a damp cloth and, if necessary, a little neutral soap. Abrasive products or solvents that could damage the dark grey finish must not be used. The translucent PC diffuser can be cleaned in the same way, taking care not to scratch it. Periodically check that the fixing base remains secure, especially after periods of heavy rain or strong wind.

Design and use

The TURA lamp post has a height of 2050 mm, making it a visible element within the outdoor space without dominating the landscape. Its square section of 160 mm gives it a balanced proportion: slender from a distance, solid when observed up close. It is the type of lamp post that visually organises a path or an entrance without the need to add further elements.

The body is made of aluminium with a dark grey finish. This material withstands outdoor conditions well: temperature changes, humidity, and prolonged sun exposure do not affect its structural integrity. The dark grey colour does not draw excessive attention during the day and integrates without conflict with stone, gravel, treated wood, or vegetation surfaces. In gardens with a certain geometric order, this lamp post reinforces that sense of coherence. In more natural surroundings, it recedes into the background without disappearing entirely.

The diffuser is made of translucent polycarbonate. It allows the LED light to pass through softly, without creating bright spots or harsh shadows. The colour temperature of 3000K corresponds to a warm light, similar to that of a traditional incandescent bulb. At that temperature, natural materials such as wood, stone, or brick gain visual warmth. Garden paths, cobbled entrances, and terraces feel more welcoming with this type of lighting.

The integrated light source is SMD LED, included from the factory. This means the lamp post arrives ready to connect, with no need to purchase any additional components separately. The power of 48W is sufficient to properly illuminate stretches of path or transit areas without needing to install several light points in close proximity.

Although the name might suggest otherwise, this lamp post does not run on solar energy and has no motion sensor or integrated rechargeable panel. It operates directly from the mains electricity through a fixed installation. If you are looking for a solar or rechargeable option, this lamp does not meet that specific need. However, for permanent installations where an electrical connection is available, it offers a stable, low-maintenance solution.

In gardens of a certain size, a single TURA lamp post can mark the entrance or signal a reference point. Placed in series along a path, several units create continuous and orderly lighting. They also work well at garage entrances, private parking areas, or plot perimeters where light presence is needed without resorting to larger projectors. The post can be complemented with other elements such as wall luminaires or façade sconces from the same line or a similar tone, to maintain visual coherence throughout the exterior.

Questions and answers

Does the TURA lamp post include the light source or does it need to be purchased separately?

The lamp post includes the SMD LED light source from the factory. You do not need to acquire any additional components for the lighting.

What type of base is needed to fix this lamp post to the ground?

As this is a floor-mounted luminaire, it is recommended to prepare a concrete base or anchor footings to ensure the verticality and stability of the post. The exact type of anchoring may vary depending on the terrain.

Is the colour temperature of 3000K suitable for a garden with plants and vegetation?

Yes. The 3000K corresponds to a warm light that visually enhances the natural tones of vegetation, wood, and stone. It is a common temperature in outdoor environments where a calm atmosphere at night is desired.
