Overview

The SCREEN floor lamp by FARO is an outdoor luminaire designed to illuminate gardens, parks and open spaces where stable, well-distributed light is needed. With a height of 3.1 metres, it covers a wide area from the ground, without the need for additional installations on walls or ceilings.

The collection is designed for environments that require real resistance: rain, dust, impacts. That is why it combines aluminium and polycarbonate, materials that hold up well in outdoor conditions without losing their appearance over time. The 360-degree lighting option allows light to be distributed symmetrically around the pole, with no dark areas or blind spots.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in technical and decorative lighting. Its outdoor products are conceived with clear criteria: durability, functionality and visual coherence with the surroundings.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the floor lamp, make sure the ground where it is to be fixed is stable and level. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician, as it requires connection to a 220V–240V mains supply. It is important to observe safety distances from walkways and nearby vegetation. Consult local regulations on outdoor lighting before starting work.

To clean the aluminium body and polycarbonate diffuser, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the finish. Periodically check the condition of the joints and the fixing base, especially after periods of heavy rain or strong wind.

Design and use

The SCREEN floor lamp is part of a technical outdoor lighting collection. The entire range shares a clean, functional design language, conceived to blend into both public and private settings without being intrusive. The dark grey finish suits stone paving, treated wood or concrete surfaces commonly used in contemporary gardens.

The aluminium body provides solidity without adding unnecessary weight. It is a material that does not rust easily and retains its appearance even after seasons of rain or heat. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser lets light through naturally, without filtering or distorting it, which contributes to a feeling of genuine clarity in the illuminated space.

The included light source is a 38W COB LED with a colour temperature of 2700K. This temperature corresponds to warm light, similar to what is perceived at sunset, which makes the garden or park feel welcoming during the night-time hours. It is not overly cold or technical light: it is the kind of illumination that is pleasant for walking or simply being outdoors.

The 360-degree version distributes light evenly in all directions. This is especially useful in unobstructed areas where a wide radius needs to be covered from a single installation point. In a medium-sized garden, a single floor lamp can illuminate a considerable area without leaving any corners in darkness.

The IP65 rating indicates that the luminaire is protected against dust ingress and direct water jets. This makes it suitable for permanent outdoor installation, even in areas with frequent rainfall. The IK10 impact resistance rating is the highest level in its category, meaning the diffuser and body can withstand impacts without breaking, which is relevant in parks or high-traffic areas.

The CASAMBI version allows the floor lamp to be integrated into Bluetooth lighting control systems, making it easy to regulate the light from an app without the need for additional control wiring. This is useful when you want to manage several garden luminaires from a single point, adjusting intensity or switching schedules according to your needs.

In terms of application, this floor lamp is well suited to private gardens of single-family homes, but also to communal spaces such as building entrance areas, internal pathways within residential developments or collective green spaces. Its height of 3.1 metres places it above the direct line of sight, preventing glare when walking near it.

The included lamp and standard mains connection make commissioning straightforward once the electrical installation is complete. No additional accessories are required for it to work from the first moment.
