Overview

The RUSH 3700 floor lamp by FARO is an outdoor luminaire designed for open spaces where stable and long-lasting lighting is needed. With a height of 3.7 metres, it covers medium-sized gardens, parks and walkways well. It does not require elevated installation or additional structures: it is anchored directly to the ground.

This floor lamp combines aluminium and polycarbonate in its construction. The result is a piece that withstands outdoor conditions well without losing functionality over time. The IP65 certification guarantees protection against rain and dust, and the IK10 resistance protects it against physical impacts. These are two factors that make a difference when the lamp is exposed to the elements day after day.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a long track record in home and outdoor lighting. Its products stand out for combining functional design with materials built to last.

Installation and specifications

For installation, it is necessary to prepare the ground anchor before placing the floor lamp. It is recommended to have an electrician handle the wiring connection. The accepted voltage ranges from 100V to 240V, allowing its use in standard installations in Spain and other countries. The body must be perfectly levelled to ensure correct light distribution. Check that the ground where it is fixed is firm and stable.

For maintenance, simply clean the outer surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products that may damage the dark grey finish. Although the lamp has an IP65 rating, do not submerge it or direct water jets directly onto the joints. Periodically check the anchor points to make sure they remain secure.

Design and use

The RUSH 3700 floor lamp is designed for those looking for an outdoor lighting solution that works well without requiring constant attention. Its height of 3.7 metres makes it a suitable option for private gardens, estate entrances, pedestrian paths or green areas for communal use. The lantern illuminates a wide area from an elevated position, without the need to install multiple ground-level light points.

The aluminium body gives it structural solidity while keeping the pole weight manageable. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser allows light to pass through without filtering it too much, resulting in clear and direct illumination. The combination of both materials makes the floor lamp resistant to both summer heat and the humidity of autumn or winter.

The colour temperature of 3000K produces a warm light, close to yellowish white. This tone creates a more intimate atmosphere than cool white light, something that is particularly appreciated in residential gardens or outdoor rest areas. It does not create the feel of industrial lighting; rather, it integrates naturally into the surroundings.

The 360º lighting option allows light to be distributed symmetrically around the pole. This is useful when the floor lamp is placed in the centre of an open space, such as a small square or a thoroughfare with access from several sides. The wide variant, on the other hand, projects light over a greater lateral distance, which is more suitable for long pathways or plot perimeters where covering more horizontal surface area is desirable.

The dark grey finish pairs well with stone paving, treated wood or outdoor ceramic. It does not draw particular attention during the day, which allows the lantern to blend in without visually dominating the space. At night, the warm LED light defines the surroundings without creating harsh contrasts.

The included COB LED light source consumes 38W and operates over a wide voltage range. This simplifies installation in different types of electrical setups. Being LED technology, energy consumption is moderate relative to the amount of light it produces.

This type of floor lamp fits well in garden renovation projects where the aim is to organise the lighting without resorting to temporary solutions. It also works as a complement to other outdoor luminaires: combined with wall lights or ground spotlights, it can create a more complete zone-based lighting scheme. The motion sensor is not part of this luminaire, but it can be integrated into the general electrical circuit if automatic switching is desired. Likewise, the lamp is neither rechargeable nor solar-powered, so it requires a mains connection to operate.

Questions and answers

Does the RUSH 3700 floor lamp include the light source, or does it need to be purchased separately?

The COB LED light source is already included with the floor lamp. It does not need to be purchased separately or replaced before installation.

What level of protection does this floor lamp offer against rain and impacts?

It has IP65 certification, which protects against rain and dust ingress. It also has IK10 impact resistance, the highest level on this scale, making it suitable for areas with a risk of accidental impacts.

Are the 360º option and the wide variant available in the same model, or are they different versions?

They are distinct configurations within the RUSH 3700 collection. The 360º option distributes light symmetrically around the pole, while the wide variant projects light over a greater lateral distance. Each one suits a different use depending on the space where it is installed.
