Overview

The RUSH floor lamp by FARO is an outdoor luminaire designed to illuminate gardens, parks and open-air spaces where continuous, uniform and resilient lighting is needed. With a height of 3.1 metres, it covers walkways and green corners that often remain in shadow after dark. The 360º lighting option distributes illumination symmetrically around the pole, with no dark spots or differences in intensity. The wide variant projects that light further, which is useful in large spaces or areas with tall vegetation.

The body is made of aluminium and polycarbonate, materials that withstand temperature changes, humidity and everyday impacts. The IK10 rating and IP65 protection ensure that neither water nor dirt affects the lamp's operation. It is a floor lamp designed to stay in place for years, without constant maintenance.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in lighting. Its products combine functionality and design without sacrificing durability. The RUSH collection reflects that approach: outdoor, technical and uncompromising.

Installation and specifications

To install this floor lamp on an outdoor surface, it is necessary to prepare a firm base that supports the pole stably. It is recommended to anchor the foot in concrete or in an anchoring system suited to the type of ground. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician, as the luminaire operates at 220V–240V and requires protected outdoor wiring. Before permanently fixing the floor lamp, check that the pole is perfectly vertical.

The aluminium and polycarbonate of this lamp do not require special treatments, but it is advisable to clean them occasionally with a damp cloth to remove accumulated dust. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the dark grey finish or scratch the transparent diffuser. If the lamp has been installed for a long time in an environment with high salt content or pollution, periodically check the seals and the condition of the IP65 sealing.

Design and use

The RUSH floor lamp takes its place outdoors with a discreet yet effective presence. The dark grey finish of the body fits well with modern gardens, access paths, large terraces and green spaces for public or private use. It does not draw attention to itself, but it does visibly change the perception of the space when switched on.

The lighting generated by COB LED technology at 3000K is warm, similar to traditional incandescent light. That colour temperature helps to create a pleasant atmosphere in the garden without the visual coldness of other light sources. It is not harsh on the eyes and allows comfortable movement along paths or outdoor seating areas. It is not daylight, but it behaves in a soft and continuous manner, without flickering or variations.

The aluminium construction provides rigidity to the pole and resistance to corrosion. The polycarbonate diffuser protects the interior of the lamp while at the same time allowing clean light distribution. The combination of both materials makes this floor lamp suitable for environments with frequent rain, sudden temperature changes or prolonged wind exposure. The IK10 rating means the lantern can take impacts without the diffuser breaking, which is relevant in parks or high-traffic areas with physical activity.

The CASAMBI version allows the floor lamp to be integrated into a wireless control system, making it easy to manage the lighting from a mobile device. This is practical when there are several luminaires outdoors and you want to adjust switching or intensity without physically intervening at each light point. For gardens with multiple zones, this option gives more control over the final result.

In terms of design, the lantern has a clean and symmetrical silhouette. It does not imitate historical styles or incorporate unnecessary decorative elements. It is a technical luminaire, designed to work well and last. It integrates easily into entrances, stone paths, well-kept lawns or private parking areas. It can also be installed on patios or in environments where there is constant foot traffic, as its mechanical resistance is designed for that type of use.

The motion sensor is not part of this version of the product, but integration with CASAMBI allows automatic switching to be programmed according to schedules or environmental conditions. For those looking for an outdoor solution without manual intervention, this function is particularly useful. The rechargeable or solar system does not apply here: this floor lamp works with the domestic electrical grid, which guarantees constant operation independent of the light available during the day.

Questions and answers

What does it mean that the floor lamp has IP65 protection and how does it affect its outdoor use?

IP65 indicates that the luminaire is protected against dust ingress and against water jets from any direction. This means it can be installed outdoors without any issues, even in areas with heavy rain or nearby automatic irrigation. It does not require any additional protection for normal use in a garden or park.

Is it possible to control the switching of this floor lamp remotely?

Yes. The version includes compatibility with the CASAMBI system, which allows lighting to be managed wirelessly from a mobile device. This makes it possible to programme schedules, adjust intensity or coordinate several outdoor luminaires from a single control point, without needing to physically access the lantern.

What type of ground is compatible with the installation of this floor lamp?

The floor lamp is fixed directly to the ground and requires a stable base. The most common approach is to anchor it in a previously prepared concrete foundation. The type of terrain determines the anchoring system, so it is recommended to consult an installer before carrying out the work.
