Overview

The RUSH collection from FARO is a technical lighting line designed for outdoor use. This wall-mounted lamp installs directly onto the wall and provides light facing forward or in a 180° asymmetric distribution, depending on the chosen version. It is a suitable option for illuminating gardens, patios, entrances, or walkways in outdoor spaces.

The body is made of aluminum and polycarbonate, giving it a sturdy construction without adding unnecessary weight. The IP65 protection ensures that rain and solid particles do not affect the lamp's operation. The IK10 impact resistance rating is the highest within its category, making it also suitable for areas with greater exposure.

The 14W COB LED light source with a color temperature of 2700K produces a warm, flicker-free light that integrates well in natural environments such as gardens or landscaped areas. This lamp includes the light source, so it does not need to be purchased separately. The CASAMBI version allows it to be integrated into a wireless control system to manage groups of luminaires from an application.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in the design and manufacture of luminaires for residential and professional use. Its outdoor collections combine technical criteria with a careful finish.

Installation and specifications

For installation, this lamp is fixed directly to the wall using the included anchors. A flush-mounted connection box in the wall or a power point at the mounting location is required. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Before mounting, verify that the support is firm and that the installation height allows an adequate light distribution for the area to be illuminated.

The aluminum body and polycarbonate diffuser require no special maintenance. Simply clean the surface with a damp cloth when necessary. Do not use abrasive products or solvents that may affect the finish or the diffuser. The IP65 rating protects the lamp against rain, but it is not designed to be submerged.

Design and use

The RUSH wall lamp from FARO is designed to integrate into outdoor spaces for everyday use. Its compact body, with dimensions of 250 mm high and 160 mm wide, does not take up too much space on the wall but generates a clear and stable luminous presence. The dark grey finish gives it a neutral appearance that fits well on both modern façades and more natural settings.

Aluminum is the main material of the body. It is lightweight, does not rust with environmental exposure, and maintains its properties over time. The polycarbonate diffuser is transparent, allowing the light beam to emerge without distortion. In the 180° option, the asymmetric distribution is useful when you want to project light in a specific direction, for example, toward a garden path or the entrance of a patio.

In terms of protection, the IK10 rating means the lamp withstands impacts without its operation being compromised. This makes it suitable for walkways where there is a greater likelihood of accidental contact. The IP65 rating protects the interior of the lantern against dust and water projection from any angle, which comfortably covers the usual conditions of rain or irrigation in gardens and terraces.

The lantern works with COB LED technology, which concentrates multiple emission points on a single surface. This generates a homogeneous beam without hot spots. At 2700K, the light is warm, similar to that of a traditional incandescent bulb, and is pleasant in spaces where a relaxed atmosphere is desired at nightfall. The 14W power is sufficient to illuminate a section of wall, an entrance, or a garden side without excessive consumption.

The CASAMBI version turns this lantern into part of a smart lighting system. Through the mesh Bluetooth protocol, it is possible to control several lamps from an application without the need to install additional hardware. This can be useful in patios or gardens where there are several light points installed on posts or walls and you want to manage all of them from a single location.

The RUSH collection is designed to withstand continuous outdoor use without the appearance deteriorating quickly. Its wall-mounted format differentiates it from a floor or post lamp, and it is more discreet than a large-format lantern. It works well in combination with other luminaires from the same collection, although it can also be used independently at a single point on the façade or in the garden.

Questions and answers

What does the 180° asymmetric lighting option mean on this lantern?

Instead of distributing light symmetrically toward the front, the 180° version concentrates the beam to one side. This allows light to be directed toward a specific surface, such as a path, a planted area, or the entrance of a space, without illuminating equally in all directions.

Does the IP65 rating provide sufficient protection for this lamp to be used in a garden with sprinkler irrigation?

Yes. The IP65 rating implies complete protection against dust and against water projection from any angle. A sprinkler irrigation system falls within the scenarios covered by this protection.

Is this lamp compatible with existing home automation systems?

The CASAMBI version uses its own mesh Bluetooth protocol. It is compatible with the CASAMBI application and can be integrated with other devices that use the same protocol. It is not natively compatible with home automation platforms that use other standards without an intermediary device.
