Overview

The SCREEN floor lamp by FARO is an outdoor luminaire designed to illuminate gardens, parks and open spaces where stable, well-distributed light is needed. With a height of 3.1 metres, it provides wide coverage from the ground without relying on external structures or elevated anchor points.

The SCREEN collection is made from aluminium and transparent polycarbonate, materials that combine strength and lightness. The IP65 protection makes it suitable for rainy conditions and prolonged exposure to wind and humidity. It also features IK10 impact resistance, making it a reliable option for transit areas or public spaces.

The 360-degree version distributes light symmetrically in all directions, with no dark zones or unlit sectors. This is especially useful on paths, walkways or central areas of a garden where visibility is needed across the entire perimeter.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a long track record in technical and decorative lighting. Its products combine functionality with careful design, intended for both private use and larger-scale projects.

Installation and specifications

To install this floor lamp in the ground, a solid base must be prepared to support the vertical structure. Anchoring with a concrete foundation is recommended, following the manufacturer's instructions. The electrical connection must be carried out by a certified electrician. Check that the underground wiring reaches the installation point before permanently fixing the base.

For maintenance, clean the body surface with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the dark grey finish. The transparent PC diffuser can be cleaned with water and mild soap. Periodically check the anchor points to ensure the structure remains firm, especially after periods of strong wind.

Design and use

The SCREEN floor lamp belongs to a collection designed entirely for outdoor use. Both the body and the diffuser are made from materials that withstand exposure to the elements well: aluminium provides rigidity and durability, while the transparent polycarbonate ensures clean light diffusion without yellowing over time.

The integrated COB LED technology delivers a continuous, uniform beam of light. The colour temperature of 4000K produces a neutral white light that allows details of the surroundings to be seen clearly without creating an excessively cold feeling. It is a temperature that works well both for path lighting and for highlighting vegetation or architectural features in a garden.

The 360-degree lighting option makes this floor lamp particularly suitable for central locations: an inner square, the centre of a large garden or the intersection between paths. The symmetrical illumination prevents any corners from remaining in shadow and gives a sense of visual uniformity that makes moving through the space comfortable during night-time hours.

The dark grey finish gives it a discreet appearance that blends in without drawing too much attention in natural or urban settings. It does not compete visually with the garden during the day, and at night it fulfils its function without overwhelming the space.

The CASAMBI version allows this floor lamp to be integrated into smart lighting control systems. From an app, the intensity can be adjusted or on/off schedules can be programmed, making lighting management easier without the need for constant manual intervention.

At 3.1 metres in height, the post projects light at a distance that covers pedestrian areas, paths or outdoor rest areas well. In a medium-sized garden, a single unit may be sufficient to illuminate a long stretch of path. For larger spaces, several floor lamps placed at regular intervals create a continuous and orderly line of lighting.

This floor lamp can also be combined with other elements from the SCREEN collection to maintain visual consistency throughout the entire outdoor lighting project. If the space includes an adjacent terrace or patio, using luminaires from the same system gives a more integrated result.

Questions and answers

Does the SCREEN floor lamp include the light source or does it need to be purchased separately?

The COB LED light source is included as standard. No additional components need to be purchased for the basic operation of the luminaire.

What exactly does IP65 protection mean on this floor lamp?

IP65 indicates that the luminaire is fully protected against dust and against water jets from any direction. It can be used without issue in outdoor settings exposed to rain, with no risk of moisture affecting the internal operation.

Is the 360º lighting option the only one available on this model, or are directional versions available?

This particular model is configured with 360-degree light distribution, meaning it illuminates symmetrically across the entire perimeter. If a more directed distribution is needed, other variants within the SCREEN collection should be consulted.
