Installation and specifications

For installation, it is necessary to prepare a solid base in the ground to allow the pole to be anchored stably. It is recommended to run the electrical wiring before fixing the luminaire, using suitable protected conduits for outdoor use. The connection must be made with the power disconnected and preferably by a qualified electrician. The DALI control system requires a compatible controller to take advantage of its dimming functions.

For maintenance, simply clean the aluminium body and polycarbonate diffuser with a damp cloth and a neutral detergent. Avoid abrasive products that could damage the surface. Periodically check the ground anchors to make sure the pole remains securely fixed, especially after adverse weather conditions.

Design and use

Does the DALI system require additional equipment to operate?

Yes. DALI is a control protocol that allows the intensity of the floor lamp to be adjusted remotely or on a programmed schedule, but to take advantage of it a compatible DALI controller is required. Without that controller, the floor lamp still operates, but without dimming options.

Is IP65 protection sufficient for climates with frequent rainfall?

IP65 provides total protection against dust and against direct water jets, which covers normal rainfall without any problem. It is adequate protection for outdoor installations in most climates for domestic and public use.
