Overview

The FARO RUSH 3700 floor lamp is a technical outdoor luminaire designed for open spaces where stable and long-lasting lighting is needed. With a height of 3.7 metres, it covers a wide area from the ground, without the need for additional structures. It is a suitable option for private gardens, parks and outdoor access areas that require constant lighting throughout the night.

The RUSH collection is manufactured in aluminium and transparent polycarbonate, materials that combine durability with a clean and discreet appearance. The floor lamp features IP65 protection, meaning it operates without issues in rain and humid conditions. Furthermore, its IK10 impact resistance makes it suitable for high-traffic areas. The dark grey finish integrates well into natural and urban environments without drawing too much attention.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in indoor and outdoor lighting. Its products combine technical functionality with careful design, built to last under real-world conditions of use.

Installation and specifications

To install this floor lamp outdoors, it is important to properly prepare the anchor point in the ground before installation. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician, as this is an outdoor luminaire connected to a 220V–240V mains supply. Before installing, check that the buried wiring is correctly protected and complies with applicable regulations.

Clean the surface of the floor lamp with a soft, slightly damp cloth when necessary. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the aluminium finish or the polycarbonate diffuser. Although IP65 protection guarantees water-tightness, do not submerge any part of the luminaire or direct high-pressure water jets at it.

Design and use

The RUSH 3700 floor lamp is an outdoor luminaire with a slender and functional profile. Its 3.7 metres of height allow light to be distributed over a generous surface area, making it especially useful in medium to large gardens, passageways and open spaces where lighting must reach far without creating shadow spots. The 360-degree distribution option guarantees symmetrical illumination around the post, with no uncovered areas.

The aluminium body provides solidity without adding unnecessary weight to the structure. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser allows light to pass through directly, with minimal light loss. The colour temperature of 4000K offers a neutral white light that improves visibility outdoors without appearing cold or excessively warm. This tone works well both in natural environments and on paved access areas or frequently used patios.

The IK10 resistance rating indicates that the floor lamp can withstand physical impacts without damage to its structure or components. This is relevant in areas with high foot traffic, such as public parks, entrances to residential communities or gardens where children also play. IP65 protection ensures that dust and water do not affect the interior of the equipment, extending the product's service life in adverse weather conditions.

The included COB LED light source operates at 38 W, with sufficient energy efficiency to illuminate outdoor residential or semi-public areas. There is no need to purchase the lamp separately, as it comes integrated into the luminaire. The DALI system integrated into this version allows the floor lamp to be connected to smart lighting control systems, facilitating the regulation of light levels from a centralised installation.

The dark grey finish gives the floor lamp a discreet appearance that does not clash in gardens with vegetation or in more urbanised environments. It is a floor lamp that goes unnoticed during the day and fulfils its function at night, without being the focal point of the space but contributing effectively to making the outdoor area safe and comfortable to use. For those looking to complement the installation, the RUSH collection offers other technical outdoor lighting pieces with the same finishes and characteristics.

Questions and answers

Does this floor lamp need an additional lamp or light source to function, or does it already come complete?

The RUSH 3700 floor lamp includes the integrated COB LED light source. There is no need to purchase any lamp separately or adapt the equipment before installing it.

What does IP65 protection mean and in what situations is it useful?

IP65 indicates that the floor lamp is fully protected against dust and against water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for outdoor use throughout the year, even in areas with frequent rain or high humidity.

Does the DALI system on this floor lamp allow it to be connected to an existing lighting control installation?

Yes. The DALI version of the RUSH 3700 floor lamp is compatible with DALI control systems, allowing the lighting intensity to be regulated from a centralised installation. For correct integration, it is recommended that it be managed by an electrical installer with experience in this type of system.
