Overview

The FARO RUSH street lamp is an outdoor luminaire designed to illuminate gardens, parks and open spaces where stable, long-lasting and well-distributed light is needed. With a height of 3.1 metres, it covers wide areas without leaving dark zones or uncomfortable shadow spots. The 360º distribution option allows symmetrical lighting around the pole, which is especially useful on paths or squares where light needs to be projected in all directions.

The body of the street lamp is made of aluminium and polycarbonate, materials that withstand outdoor conditions well without losing their appearance. The IP65 certification guarantees protection against rain and dust ingress, and the IK10 resistance makes it capable of withstanding physical impacts. This makes it a suitable option for both private gardens and installations in public spaces.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in the design and manufacture of luminaires. Its RUSH collection is designed for those who need technical outdoor lighting solutions without sacrificing the aesthetics of the space.

Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation: this street lamp is fixed directly to the ground by anchoring at the base. Before installing it, verify that the outdoor installation point has a suitable power outlet for 220V-240V. It is recommended that the electrical installation be carried out by a qualified professional, especially when dealing with an outdoor luminaire connected to the mains. Check that the ground where the base is placed is level and stable. Observe minimum safety distances from plant elements or structures that may interfere with the street lamp.

Use and maintenance: to clean the body and the diffuser, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the surface of the aluminium or polycarbonate. Periodically check the condition of the base and anchors to ensure the street lamp remains securely fixed. Although the IP65 rating offers high protection, avoid directing pressurised water jets directly onto the luminaire during cleaning.

Design and use

The RUSH street lamp is part of a technical lighting collection designed for outdoor use. Each element in the series has been designed with a clear focus: to provide functional and durable lighting in conditions that can be demanding, such as cold, rain or continuous use.

The body combines aluminium and transparent polycarbonate. The aluminium provides structural solidity and corrosion resistance, while the polycarbonate diffuser allows clean and uniform light transmission. The dark grey finish blends discreetly into garden environments, without drawing too much attention during the day, and fulfils its main function when night falls.

The street lamp features a 38W COB LED light source with a colour temperature of 3000K. This warm temperature creates a balanced atmosphere, without the coldness of white lights, making the outdoor space feel more welcoming during the night hours. The LED is included from the factory, so there is no need to purchase any additional light source.

One of the most practical features of this street lamp is its compatibility with the DALI system, a lighting control protocol that allows the light intensity to be adjusted from a centralised system. This is especially useful in installations where several luminaires are managed at the same time, such as in large gardens, residential estate entrances or parks. The wide version, for its part, allows light to be projected over a greater horizontal distance, covering larger surfaces from the same installation point.

The 360º option distributes the light beam symmetrically around the pole, which is very suitable for paths, squares or transit areas where it is not desirable for the light to concentrate in a single direction. This uniform distribution also reduces shadows at the edges of the illuminated area, which improves the overall feel of the space at night.

Regarding resistance, the IP65 certification protects the street lamp against dust ingress and water jets, making it suitable for outdoor use throughout the year. The IK10 impact resistance is the highest available on the standard scale, meaning the body can withstand physical blows without the luminaire being damaged. This combination makes it a valid option for both private gardens and spaces with higher foot traffic.

The street lamp can be combined with other outdoor elements with a neutral finish, such as benches, fences or pavements in grey or earthy tones. Its sober design does not visually compete with vegetation or other decorative elements in the garden.

Questions and answers

Is the RUSH street lamp compatible with DALI lighting control systems?

Yes, this version of the RUSH street lamp includes compatibility with the DALI protocol, which allows the light intensity to be adjusted from a centralised control system. It is especially useful when several luminaires are installed in the same space and the lighting needs to be managed collectively.

What level of protection does it offer against rain and physical impacts?

The street lamp has IP65 certification, which guarantees total protection against dust and direct water jets. It also has IK10 impact resistance, the highest level on the standard scale, making it suitable for public use environments or areas with greater physical exposure.

What is the difference between the 360º option and the wide variant?

The 360º option distributes light symmetrically in all directions around the pole, ideal for paths or squares. The wide variant projects light over a greater horizontal distance, allowing larger surfaces to be covered from a single installation point.
