Overview

This outdoor lamp post is designed for open-air spaces where a fixed light source with character is desired. It is installed directly in the ground and works well at entrances, garden paths, large terraces, or passageways that need constant lighting during nighttime hours. Its height of 2200 mm makes it a visible presence within the space, not a secondary accessory.

The bubble glass diffuser distributes light evenly around the post, without concentrated shadow points. The rust brown finish on the steel body gives it the appearance typical of a classic lamp, close to the old lantern style seen in patios and gardens with careful design.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in lighting. Their outdoor products are designed to withstand continuous use in real conditions, with materials and finishes built to last.

Installation and specifications

For installation, it is necessary to prepare an underground conduit for the electrical cable before fixing the lamp post to the ground. Given the weight of the unit, it is recommended to use a firm anchor base, concreted if the ground is soft. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The universal voltage allows its use without adapters in most countries.

The steel body does not require frequent maintenance, but it is advisable to clean the glass diffuser with a damp cloth when dust or dirt accumulates, so that the projected light does not lose quality. Avoid abrasive products on the rust brown finish. Do not touch the bulb immediately after turning off the lamp, as it may be hot.

Design and use

The lamp post has a design that directly evokes the classic street lantern. It is not a minimalist piece, nor does it try to be. Its shape, the use of glass, and the rust brown finish place this product in a decorative line rooted in traditional outdoor lighting — the kind of lighting that gives visual coherence to gardens with abundant vegetation, house entrances with stone paving, or terraces with soberly styled furniture.

The body is made of steel, a material that withstands continuous outdoor exposure well. We are not talking about a portable solar lamp or a seasonal accessory: this lamp post is a fixed installation, designed to stay. Its weight of nearly twelve kilograms confirms that it is a piece with real presence, not a lightweight structure that moves in the wind.

The transparent glass diffuser with a bubble effect is one of the most recognizable elements of the product. When light passes through that glass, the result is a soft projection with a certain visual warmth, different from what a flat diffuser or smooth glass offers. It is the type of light that makes a garden or an outdoor entrance look good at night, without that direct spotlight feeling that can come across as cold or harsh.

The total height of 2200 mm places the light source at a distance from the ground that allows a wide area to be illuminated without the need to install multiple points. On a garden path, for example, a single lamp post of this height can cover several meters around it with functional and visually pleasant lighting. On a large terrace, two units placed at the ends may be sufficient to define the space without overwhelming it.

The E27 socket is standard, making bulb selection straightforward. The lamp post accepts LED bulbs with an E27 socket, which is the most common today. The maximum power of 15 W is suitable for the type of ambient lighting this product is designed to provide.

In terms of pairing with other elements, this lamp post works well alongside large planters, garden edging, or low stone or brick walls. The rust brown finish does not clash with natural materials such as wood, ceramic, or stone. If the garden or terrace has a rustic or classic style, this product reinforces that look effortlessly. In a patio with plants and a gravel floor it also works well, because the scale of the lamp post is designed for spaces with a certain volume.

Questions and answers

Does the lamp post include the E27 LED bulb or does it need to be purchased separately?

The bulb is not included. You need to purchase separately a bulb with an E27 socket and a maximum power of 15 W. LED options with that socket are easy to find in any lighting store.

What type of ground anchor does this lamp post need to be properly secured?

The lamp post is fixed directly to the ground. Given its weight of 11.5 kg and its height of 2200 mm, it is recommended to prepare a concreted base, especially if the ground is soft or loose. This ensures it remains stable and does not shift over time.

Does the 100V–240V voltage mean I can use it outside Spain without adapters?

Yes. The universal voltage range covers both European mains voltage and that of other countries. You do not need an adapter or additional transformer to install it in different countries.
