Overview

The FARO SAU S 360 is an outdoor spotlight designed to illuminate gardens precisely and discreetly. It works well when you want to highlight a plant, a tree, or any decorative garden element without the luminaire itself drawing too much attention. The spotlight directs light where it is needed, and the black body integrates effortlessly into natural or modern settings.

What sets this spotlight apart is its combination of durable materials, compact design, and IP65 protection, making it suitable for permanent outdoor installation. The version includes an optional accessory to place it as a stake directly in the ground, which expands its usage possibilities without the need for additional tools.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a long track record in both outdoor and indoor lighting. Their products are aimed at those who seek manufacturing quality and coherent design without sacrificing functionality.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the spotlight, check that the mounting surface is solid and clean. When wall-mounting, use the appropriate anchors for the type of material — brick, concrete, or wood each require different fixings. If you are installing it as a ground stake, make sure the soil is sufficiently compacted so that the accessory remains stable. The electrical connection must always be carried out by a professional, especially in outdoor installations exposed to moisture.

To keep the spotlight in good condition, clean the body surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the black aluminium finish. Periodically check that the anchor points show no looseness or signs of corrosion, especially after periods of heavy rain.

Design and use

The SAU S 360 is a 6W LED spotlight with a colour temperature of 3000K, producing warm, flicker-free light. This warm tone is the most common in gardens and outdoor spaces, as it creates a welcoming atmosphere without being visually harsh. The COB LED light source is already included, so the spotlight is ready to connect from the very first moment.

The body is made from aluminium combined with ABS, providing a lightweight yet sturdy structure. The matt black finish allows the spotlight to go unnoticed during the day, while at night it performs its function effectively. The transparent PC diffuser allows light to pass through without significant losses, concentrating it on the area to be illuminated.

Weighing just 0.5 kg, the spotlight does not require complex anchoring. Its compact dimensions — 357 mm in height and 43 mm in diameter — make it suitable even for spaces where installation room is limited. It can be wall-mounted, pointing towards a plant or architectural element, or converted into a ground stake with the optional included accessory.

The IP65 protection ensures that the spotlight withstands direct rain and dust accumulation without affecting its operation. This is especially relevant in climates where the outdoors is exposed to changing conditions throughout the year. No additional protection or external housings are required.

In a garden, the SAU S 360 works well for illuminating trees from the base, creating contrast between areas of light and shadow, or highlighting a sculpture or fountain. When installed as a ground stake, the spotlight can be placed at the foot of a shrub or along an access path, generating a highly visual grazing light. That versatility is one of its most practical features: the same spotlight adapts to different uses without needing to purchase different models.

In a patio or terrace it also has its place, directed towards a stone wall, a mural, or a large plant pot. The warm 3000K light complements natural materials such as wood or stone well, and contrasts interestingly with white or grey surfaces. For those who want to add visual depth to their garden without installing complex systems, this spotlight is a straightforward and efficient solution.

Questions and answers

Is the stake accessory included in the box or does it need to be purchased separately?

The accessory that allows the SAU S 360 to be installed as a ground stake is optional. It is worth verifying this at the time of purchase if that installation method is required, as the base product is wall-mounted.

Is IP65 protection sufficient for leaving it installed outdoors all year round?

Yes. The IP65 rating indicates that the spotlight is protected against dust and against water jets from any direction. It is suitable for permanent outdoor installation, even in areas exposed to direct rain.

Can the included COB LED light source be replaced if it fails?

The COB LED light source is integrated into the spotlight. In the event of failure, the most appropriate course of action is to contact customer service to assess the most suitable solution based on the product's conditions.
