Overview

The FARO PUK projector is an outdoor luminaire designed to highlight architectural elements: facades, walls, entrances, gardens or any surface that deserves attention. It is not about illuminating a space in general, but about directing light with precision to where it matters. The spotlight works with a 15° angle, which concentrates the beam and allows well-defined accent effects to be created.

The body is compact, Ø85 mm, made of aluminium with a black finish. It is fixed directly to the wall, without additional structures. The 2700K colour temperature produces a warm light that does not distort the natural tones of stone, wood or brick. For those working in environments with saline exposure, this projector also offers that possibility of use, which broadens its applications in coastal areas or those with more demanding environmental conditions.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in the design of indoor and outdoor luminaires. Its products are characterised by a refined aesthetic and technical solutions designed for real-world use.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall projector, it is recommended to work with a qualified electrician if you have no experience with outdoor electrical installations. Before starting, make sure the circuit is de-energised. The fixture is mounted directly to the wall, so it is necessary to verify that the surface is firm and capable of supporting the weight of the equipment. Appropriate plugs and screws for the wall type must be used. The entire installation must comply with current electrical regulations.

To keep the spotlight in good condition, simply clean the exterior with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Abrasive products or solvents that could damage the black aluminium finish should not be used. Avoid the accumulation of dirt or moisture in the connection area. Periodically check that the fixing remains firm, especially in areas with frequent wind or rain.

Design and use

The PUK projector has a clean, minimal design that does not visually compete with its surroundings. Outdoors, that matters: a well-integrated luminaire goes unnoticed during the day and does its job when night falls. The black aluminium body blends with dark facades or provides a subtle contrast on lighter surfaces. The transparent glass diffuser does not interfere with the direction of the beam, allowing the full power of the COB LED to be used.

With a 15° beam angle, this spotlight is designed for accent lighting, not general ambient lighting. That narrow beam is ideal for highlighting textures on a stone wall, marking the profile of a facade or illuminating a decorative element in a garden or courtyard. It can also be used to illuminate access stairs when you want to mark a path without flooding the space with light.

The 2700K colour temperature is warm, similar to traditional incandescent light. That tone works well in residential environments where a welcoming outdoor atmosphere is sought. On a terrace, for example, a cool light can feel harsh and uninviting; with 2700K, on the other hand, the space gains warmth and natural materials look better. The same applies at the entrance of a home or in a garden where spotlights illuminate trees or shrubs.

The built-in goniometer allows the orientation of the projector to be adjusted once installed, without needing to disassemble the piece. This provides real flexibility: if the layout of the garden changes or the light needs to be redirected, simply make the adjustment directly on the luminaire. In spaces where the environment evolves over time, this feature avoids having to rethink the entire installation.

The possibility of combining it with accessories broadens its versatility. The visor (ref. 75303V) reduces lateral glare when the projector is at eye level. The honeycomb grid (ref. 75303H) further limits the viewing angle and provides a more technical finish. The stake accessory (ref. 75302S) allows the projector to be driven directly into the ground, useful for illuminating plants or trees from below. The tree-mounting accessory (ref. 75303F) offers another installation option without the need for construction work, ideal in gardens where permanent intervention on the wall or ground is not desired.

In saline environments, such as those found near the sea or in industrial areas with chemical exposure, many outdoor spotlights deteriorate quickly. This projector has also been designed for such applications, making it a valid option for coastal homes or environments with more aggressive conditions.

The weight of 1.67 kg indicates a solid construction for a body of this size. It is not a lightweight plastic projector, but a piece with real physical presence. This is noticeable both during installation and in long-term durability.

Questions and answers

Can this projector be installed directly in the garden ground?

In its standard configuration, the PUK spotlight is wall-mounted. However, with the stake accessory ref. 75302S it is possible to drive it into the ground, which allows plants, trees or garden elements to be illuminated from below without the need for additional construction work.

Is the 15° angle fixed or can it be adjusted once installed?

The beam aperture angle is 15° and corresponds to the projector's optics. What can be adjusted after installation is the orientation of the spotlight, thanks to the built-in goniometer, which allows the beam to be redirected without disassembling the luminaire.

Is the LED light source included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The 25W COB LED light source is included in the projector. It does not need to be purchased separately or require any additional adaptations before installation.
