Design and use

The CUCA 650 by FARO belongs to a line born from the Faro Lab studio with a clear idea: that an outdoor bollard can also be a decorative element with its own identity. The structure takes the form of a semicircular arch in stainless steel with a black finish, a profile that is recognisable without being overly ornate. From the end of the arch hangs a small glass sphere with an opal diffuser, which distributes light in a soft manner without any glare spots.

The effect this lamp creates in a garden or at the entrance to a home is difficult to achieve with a conventional bollard. When night falls, the metal structure blends into the surroundings and all that remains visible are the points of light floating at different heights, as if they had no support. This effect is accentuated when several units are installed combining the two available heights, creating a composition of lights that guides the eye along a path or visually delimits a space.

The 2700K colour temperature produces a warm light, close to that of a traditional lantern but with a completely different form. This warm tone favours relaxed atmospheres and is especially pleasant in gardens with vegetation, where the contrast between the golden light and the green of the plants reinforces the sense of depth. It also works well in terrace or patio areas where a calm atmosphere is desired without excessive lighting.

Yes. The CUCA line is available in two heights precisely to allow compositions with different light levels. By mixing bollards of different heights along the same path or outdoor area, the visual effect of floating lights becomes more interesting and dynamic.
