Installation and specifications

Before installing this bollard in the garden, check that the electrical connection point is properly protected for outdoor use. The cable must be buried or channelled to avoid hazards. If you do not have experience with outdoor electrical installations, it is advisable to have an electrician do it. The fixing to the ground must be carried out on a firm, level base so that the lamp is completely vertical.

To keep the bollard in good condition, clean the aluminium body with a damp cloth and avoid abrasive products that could damage the finish. The opal diffuser can be cleaned with a soft cloth. Do not use pressurised water directly on the lamp. Periodically check the connections to make sure no moisture has entered.

Design and use

The ALP bollard is part of a FARO outdoor lighting series that also includes a wall light, allowing the visual appearance of the entire façade and garden to be unified with the same design. This coherence between pieces is useful when a tidy result is desired, without mixing different styles or finishes.

The lamp body is made of aluminium, a material that withstands continuous exposure to the elements well. The dark grey colour is not eye-catching, which means the bollard goes unnoticed among vegetation or next to stone and concrete paving. During the day it blends well into the surroundings; at night, the warm 3000K light it emits creates a pleasant atmosphere in the garden without being excessive.

The opal diffuser softens the light output of the LED and prevents the light point from being seen directly. This is important in spaces where people walk at ground level and the lamp falls within the field of vision. A bollard without a diffuser can be bothersome; with an opal diffuser, the light is distributed uniformly in all directions.

With a height of 500 mm, this outdoor bollard is suitable for lining paths, delimiting lawn areas or marking steps in the garden. It does not take up overhead space and does not interfere with passage. On terraces or paved areas it can also be used as a decorative ground lantern, especially if the space has little ambient light.
