Overview

TURA is an outdoor beacon designed to illuminate paths, entrances and open-air areas with warm, uniform light. It is installed directly in the ground and works as a marking lamp that guides the way without the need for additional structures. Its compact shape fits well in spaces where discreet but effective lighting is sought.

This outdoor lamp is a solid option for those who want to organize garden lighting or home access without complications. It takes up no space, does not interfere with the surroundings and does its job without drawing too much attention. The result is a tidy exterior, with soft light appearing exactly where it is needed.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a long history in lighting. Its products combine functionality and aesthetic sensibility, designed for both residential and professional use.

Installation and specifications

For installation, this beacon requires connection to a 220V-240V electrical mains supply. As it is an outdoor lamp fixed to the ground, it is recommended that the wiring be buried and protected in accordance with local electrical regulations. It is advisable to have an electrician carry out the connection, especially for a new installation. Before securing the base, check that the ground is level so that the lamp stands completely vertical.

To keep the aluminium in good condition, simply clean the surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the dark grey finish. The translucent PC diffuser can be cleaned in the same way. Do not submerge the lamp in water or direct pressurised jets directly onto it.

Design and use

The TURA beacon by FARO has an aluminium body in dark grey that gives it a firm yet discreet presence. Aluminium is a material that withstands outdoor conditions well: it does not rust easily, is lightweight and maintains its appearance for years without the need for special maintenance. At 650 mm in height and with a base of 160 x 160 mm, this lamp takes up minimal space but remains visible on the nocturnal route through the garden or patio.

The translucent PC diffuser distributes light evenly around the beacon. The colour temperature of 3000K produces warm illumination, similar to tungsten light, which is neither cold nor clinical. It is a tone that complements green spaces, pathway stones or outdoor flooring well, without overly altering the nocturnal atmosphere of the surroundings. If you picture arriving home at night and seeing a row of warm lights marking the way, that is exactly what this lamp achieves.

The SMD LED module is included, so there is no need to purchase any additional light source. With a maximum power of 20W, it produces the illumination needed to orientate and move around safely, without being dazzling. It is a beacon designed to guide, not to flood with light.

As for the environments where it fits best: garden paths, access to single-family homes, terrace edges, pool sides or passageways between different outdoor areas. As a ground lantern, it integrates well in both contemporary design gardens and more naturally vegetated outdoor spaces. The dark grey body colour disappears during the day among the earth or stone, and takes centre stage at night when the light activates it.

If you want to combine this lamp with other lighting elements, it works well alongside wall lights or ceiling luminaires in covered outdoor areas. Consistency in materials and tones helps the final result look considered rather than improvised. A row of TURA beacons along a path, combined with a wall lantern at the entrance, can give the exterior a tidy and welcoming look without the need to install powerful lights that disrupt the tranquillity of the space.

This type of beacon does not incorporate a motion sensor or rechargeable system, so it operates continuously while connected to the electrical mains. It does not function as a solar lantern and has no integrated automatic on/off mechanism. This means that control of the lighting depends on the switch or timer installed in the circuit. For those who prefer a constantly illuminated exterior during the night-time hours, this is precisely the right solution.

The weight of 2 kg ensures that the beacon remains stable once installed, even in areas with some wind. The aluminium construction provides rigidity without making the piece unnecessarily heavy.
