Overview

The FARO RUSH 800 beacon is an outdoor lamp designed to be installed directly in the ground. Its height of 800 mm makes it a clear option for lighting pathways, garden borders or transit areas in private parks. The lamp projects light upward and, in the 180° version, does so asymmetrically, allowing the beam to be directed in a single direction without wasting illumination where it is not needed.

The body is made of aluminium and polycarbonate, materials that withstand outdoor conditions well without deteriorating quickly. The IK10 impact resistance rating means the lamp can absorb knocks without its structure being affected. The IP65 protection makes it suitable for rain and dust, so it does not require any additional shielding.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in lighting. Its outdoor products combine resistant materials with a careful finish, designed to perform well for years without constant maintenance.

Installation and specifications

Preparation for installation and assembly. This lamp is fixed to the ground, so before installing it, it is advisable to plan the routing of the electrical cable along or beneath the ground. It is recommended to use an electrician for connection to the mains, as it operates at 220V–240V. The ground anchoring must be done on a firm, level base. If several units are installed in a row, it is advisable to maintain a regular distance between them to achieve uniform lighting along the route.

Use and maintenance. To clean the surface of the lamp, a damp cloth without abrasive products is sufficient. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser may accumulate dirt over time, especially in areas with nearby vegetation. Occasional cleaning is enough to maintain optical performance. It should not be submerged in water or cleaned with solvent-based products. Before any electrical work, disconnect the power supply.

Design and use

The RUSH 800 is part of a technical outdoor collection designed to integrate into spaces where the lamp must serve a practical function without drawing too much attention during the day. The dark grey aluminium finish allows the beacon to blend into the surroundings without standing out excessively, while at night the lamp does its job effectively.

The colour temperature of 2700K produces a warm light, similar to that of a traditional street lamp, though without the exaggerated yellowish tone. This range is comfortable for transit areas and gardens where a calm atmosphere is sought, without the harshness of a cold light. The lantern emits light continuously, without flickering, thanks to the integrated COB LED technology.

The transparent polycarbonate diffuser allows light to emerge without distortion. It does not obscure the beam or create uneven light patches. In the 180° version, the asymmetric distribution concentrates the illumination to one side, which is useful when the beacon is placed next to a wall or at the edge of a path and projecting light into a specific area is not desirable. This option gives more control over the final result without the need to add additional shields.

The CASAMBI version incorporates wireless control technology, allowing the lamp to be managed from a mobile application. This opens up the possibility of creating lighting scenes, scheduling timetables or adjusting intensity according to the time of day. For a garden or an outdoor access area, this functionality transforms a simple beacon into a smart element that can adapt to different situations without manual intervention.

The aluminium body does not oxidise with ambient humidity or lose its shape with temperature changes. The polycarbonate diffuser resists UV radiation, so it does not yellow over time. These characteristics allow the lantern to maintain its appearance for years under normal outdoor use conditions.

Regarding integration with the surroundings, the RUSH 800 range works well in gardens with modern finishes, both on concrete and gravel or wood surfaces. It also fits in estate entrances, terrace borders or transit areas lit with low-level lights. If several units are combined along a path, the result is a clear and uniform visual guide without the need to install additional spotlights. The beacon's design is straight and unadorned, allowing it to adapt to different styles without imposing a specific aesthetic.

Questions and answers

Does the CASAMBI version require an additional hub to work, or does it connect directly from the mobile phone?

CASAMBI technology operates via Bluetooth mesh, so it does not require a central hub. The connection is made directly from the mobile application without the need for any additional infrastructure.

Is IP65 protection sufficient for areas with frequent rain or direct water exposure?

Yes. IP65 guarantees total protection against dust and against water jets from any direction, making it suitable for outdoor installations with direct rainfall.

Does the 180° asymmetric lighting option come factory-configured or does it require adjustment during installation?

It comes factory-configured in that specific version. No subsequent adjustment is required: the internal optics are already oriented to project the beam at 180°.
