Overview

The FARO RUSH 3700 street lamp is an outdoor luminaire designed to illuminate gardens, parks, and open spaces where a stable and long-lasting light source is needed. With a height of 3.7 metres, it covers a wide area without creating uncomfortable shadows or unlit spots. The 360º distribution option allows light to spread evenly in all directions, making it useful in spaces where lighting must reach different angles at the same time.

The body is made of aluminium and polycarbonate, materials that withstand outdoor conditions well without deteriorating quickly. The IP65 protection ensures that the street lamp operates normally even in heavy rain. The IK10 impact resistance rating indicates that it can withstand physical impacts without being easily damaged, which is important in high-traffic areas or public spaces.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a track record in technical and decorative lighting. Their outdoor products combine performance criteria with materials designed to last under real-world conditions.

Installation and specifications

Preparation for installation and assembly. This street lamp is fixed directly to the ground, so before installing it, it is necessary to verify that the surface is firm and level. The wiring must be protected and run through the inside of the post to the electrical connection. It is recommended that the installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, as it involves work with buried wiring and mains connections. The working voltage is 100V to 240V, compatible with the standard electrical grid. Before turning on the lamp for the first time, it is important to confirm that all joints are properly sealed.

Usage and care guidelines. The exterior aluminium surface can be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Abrasive products or solvents that could damage the dark grey finish should not be used. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser may accumulate dust or dirt over time; simply clean it with water and a clean cloth. Since it is an outdoor luminaire, it is advisable to periodically check the condition of the seals and sealing to maintain the IP65 protection in good condition.

Design and use

The RUSH 3700 street lamp is part of a technical lighting collection designed exclusively for outdoor use. The design follows functional criteria: clean lines, a dark grey finish, and a transparent diffuser that does not alter the colour of the emitted light. The result is a warm 3000K light that creates a calm atmosphere at dusk, without the coldness that intense white light sources sometimes produce.

The body combines aluminium and polycarbonate, giving it a sturdy structure without being excessively heavy for this type of installation. The aluminium provides rigidity and handles temperature changes typical of outdoor use well. The polycarbonate diffuser resists ultraviolet radiation better than conventional glass, so it maintains its transparency over time without yellowing.

The integrated COB LED technology operates at 38W, delivering a good level of illumination with contained energy consumption. The light source is included, so no additional components need to be purchased to get it up and running.

At 3.7 metres in height, this street lamp is suitable for medium to large private gardens, as well as semi-public environments such as community entrances, outdoor car parks, or park pathways. The 360º light distribution means that the lantern illuminates the space in all directions, with no shadow zones on the sides. This sets it apart from models with a directional diffuser, where part of the surroundings remains without coverage.

In a garden, this lamp can be placed in the centre of an open area to distribute light towards pathways and seating areas. It also works well at entrances and access points, where uniform lighting helps people move safely at night. In a large patio or terrace with a firm floor surface, it can be integrated as the main light point without needing to be combined with other elements.

Visually, the street lamp has a modern and understated profile. The dark grey colour of the body integrates well with stone, concrete, or treated wood paving. It neither imposes nor draws too much attention during the day, and at night it fulfils its function without creating glare thanks to the diffuser that distributes light gently.

The IP65 protection and IK10 resistance are data points that speak to how this lantern performs under real conditions. It can be exposed to rain, dust, and occasional impacts without compromising its operation. This makes it a valid option not only for domestic gardens, but also for installations where pedestrian traffic or intensive use are factors to be considered.

Questions and answers

Does the RUSH 3700 street lamp include the light source or does it need to be purchased separately?

The COB LED light source is included. No additional lamp needs to be purchased to install and use the street lamp.

What level of protection does this street lamp offer against rain and impacts?

It has IP65 certification, which protects against dust and direct water jets. It also has IK10 impact resistance, indicating that it withstands physical impacts without being damaged. This is a suitable combination for outdoor use under normal conditions.

Is the light distribution directional or does it cover the entire area around the post?

The 360º option allows light to be distributed symmetrically in all directions. This means it illuminates the space around the lantern evenly, without concentrating the beam at a single point or direction.
