Overview

The FARO RUSH 3700 street lamp is an outdoor luminaire designed to illuminate gardens, parks and open spaces where stable, durable and well-distributed light is needed. With a height of 3.7 metres, it covers a wide area without leaving dark corners. The 360º distribution option ensures uniform lighting in all directions, without the need to orient the fixture.

The body is made of aluminium and polycarbonate, giving it resistance against impacts, rain and dust. The IP65 rating ensures that water and solid particles do not affect its operation. It is a street lamp designed for permanent outdoor installations, where durability matters as much as the visual result.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in technical and decorative lighting. Its products combine performance criteria with careful design, intended to suit both domestic environments and public spaces.

Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation. The street lamp is fixed directly to the ground by anchoring at the base. Before installing it, make sure the ground is stable and that the electrical conduit reaches the installation point. The connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician, as this is an outdoor luminaire connected to the mains at 220V–240V. Ensure that the wiring is protected underground and that all joints are properly sealed.

Use and maintenance. Clean the body of the street lamp with a damp cloth and neutral soap when necessary. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the dark grey finish or the PC diffuser. Periodically check the fixing base to ensure it remains properly anchored. The LED source is included and does not require regular replacement.

Design and use

The RUSH 3700 street lamp is part of FARO's technical outdoor lighting collection. The entire range is conceived for permanent installations in open-air spaces where performance and durability are a priority. The design is clean and functional, with straight lines and a dark grey finish that blends in without drawing too much attention, both in private gardens and in green areas or parks for collective use.

The body combines aluminium and polycarbonate, two materials that complement each other well outdoors. The aluminium provides structural rigidity and dissipates the heat generated by the LED. The polycarbonate diffuser allows light to emerge uniformly without concentrating bright spots. This combination means the street lamp holds up well against temperature variations, humidity and continuous sun exposure.

The IK10 impact resistance rating is the highest possible level in this classification, meaning the street lamp withstands strong impacts without the casing or diffuser being damaged. This makes it suitable not only for private gardens but also for high-traffic areas where there is a greater risk of physical contact. The IP65 protection ensures that neither water nor dust enters the interior, which is essential for a long-term outdoor installation.

The light source is a 38W COB LED operating at 3000K, a warm colour temperature that gives the garden a calm atmosphere at dusk. This type of light is neither cold white nor intense yellow; it sits at a midpoint that is pleasant for walking through the garden or spending time outdoors. The 360º light distribution allows light to reach in all directions from the pole, with no pronounced shadow zones around the street lamp.

At 3.7 metres in height, the lamp illuminates a generous surface without the need to place several light points close together. In a domestic garden, one or two well-positioned units may be sufficient to cover the main pathways. In a larger park or landscaped area, the distance between street lamps can be greater thanks to the symmetrical light distribution. The DALI version allows it to be integrated into lighting control systems, facilitating the management of switching on, switching off and dimming from a central point.

The dark grey finish of the body works well both in modern settings and in gardens with dense vegetation, where neutral colours do not disrupt the aesthetic of the space. It is not a decorative lamp in the classic sense, but it has a discreet presence that does not look out of place. It suits stone, wood or concrete paving, and combines well with other luminaires from the same collection if consistency across the entire outdoor installation is desired.

For those looking for a durable lighting solution for the garden or patio, the RUSH 3700 offers a clear balance between protection, light output and ease of maintenance.

Questions and answers

What does it mean that the street lamp has 360º distribution?

It means that the light is distributed symmetrically in all directions around the pole. There is no preferred illumination front, so the lighting is uniform around the entire perimeter of the street lamp without the need to orient it.

Is the IP65 rating sufficient for a permanent outdoor installation with frequent rain?

Yes. IP65 indicates complete protection against dust and against water jets from any direction. It is adequate protection for outdoor installations continuously exposed to rain.

Does the DALI version require a specific control system to operate?

The DALI version is compatible with standard DALI control systems, which allow the intensity to be regulated and switching on and off to be managed centrally. If such a system is not available, it is advisable to consult an installer before choosing this version.
