Overview

The RUSH 3700 floor lamp by FARO is an outdoor luminaire designed for spaces that require functional and durable lighting. With a height of 3.7 metres, it is suitable for private gardens, parks, pedestrian access routes and transit areas where constant, well-distributed lighting is needed. It does not require any external solar energy source nor does it operate on a rechargeable battery: it connects directly to the mains power supply, ensuring stable operation in any weather condition.

The RUSH collection is designed for environments where the floor lamp must withstand continuous use without losing performance. The body combines aluminium and polycarbonate, materials that resist mechanical wear and prolonged exposure to the elements. The IK10 impact resistance and IP65 rating mean this floor lamp can withstand physical impacts and is protected against rain and dust, without the need for extraordinary maintenance.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in technical and decorative lighting. Its outdoor products are designed to withstand real environmental conditions, with a discreet design that does not distract from the space in which it is installed.

Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation. This floor lamp is fixed to the ground, so it requires a firm, level base before assembly. It is recommended that the electrical installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, as it operates at 220V-240V. The wiring must be protected and buried in accordance with local outdoor electrical installation regulations. Before switching on the floor lamp, verify that all connections are correctly sealed to maintain the IP65 rating.

Use and maintenance. To clean the body and diffuser, use a soft cloth dampened with water. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the dark grey finish or the transparent polycarbonate. Do not handle the light source while the power is connected. Periodically check the condition of the ground anchors to ensure the stability of the floor lamp.

Design and use

The RUSH 3700 floor lamp belongs to a collection of technical outdoor lighting. Its height of 3.7 metres places it in a range that covers medium and large gardens well, access routes to single-family homes, park paths and open-air recreational areas. It is not a low-range decorative lamp: it is designed to project light over a distance and cover large surfaces with uniform illumination.

The body is made of aluminium with a dark grey finish, a neutral tone that integrates well into natural environments and stone or concrete paving. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser allows light to pass through without interruptions or unnecessary filtration. The combination of these two materials is not coincidental: the aluminium provides structural rigidity and the polycarbonate withstands the physical impacts that a floor lamp installed in a transit area may receive.

The 360° version distributes light symmetrically in all directions, which is useful when the floor lamp is placed in the centre of an open area, such as a roundabout or a path junction in a garden. The wide variant extends the projection angle to carry the light beam over a greater distance, an interesting option for long paths or plot perimeters where continuous visibility is needed without installing several posts in a row.

The light source is a 38W COB LED with a colour temperature of 3000K. This temperature produces a warm light, closer to orange-white than cool white. In a garden or terrace, this type of light creates an atmosphere that is pleasant without being excessively intense. It is not the light of a conventional street lamp, but something closer to the lighting of a space where one wants to spend time.

The CASAMBI version allows the floor lamp to be integrated into a wireless control system, making it easy to manage the lighting from a mobile device without the need to install additional switches or wire a complex automation system. This is especially useful in gardens where running cables involves significant construction work.

The IP65 rating guarantees total protection against dust and against water jets from any direction. This means the floor lamp can be exposed to direct rain without moisture reaching the electrical components. The IK10 rating is the maximum for resistance to mechanical impacts, adding safety in areas with physical activity or access by children.

The weight of almost 16 kg reflects solid construction. It is not a lightweight lamp designed for temporary installations: it requires a stable base and adequate ground anchoring. Once installed, the floor lamp is fixed in place and does not require frequent adjustments. Its straight profile and discreet finish make it compatible with modern design gardens, but also with more natural environments where a functional floor lamp is sought without drawing too much attention.

Questions and answers

What is the difference between the 360° option and the wide variant in this floor lamp?

The 360° option distributes light symmetrically around the post, illuminating equally in all directions. The wide variant extends the projection angle to reach a greater distance, which is more suitable for paths or elongated areas where more surface needs to be covered with fewer light points.

Is the included COB LED light source replaceable?

The floor lamp includes the 38W COB LED light source. If you need to replace it in the future, it is recommended to contact a qualified technician or consult the customer service department, as opening the diffuser may affect the IP65 sealing conditions if not done correctly.

What type of ground is required to install this floor lamp?

As it is fixed to the ground, it requires a firm, level base capable of supporting the almost 16 kg of the assembly. A concrete footing or an embedded anchor is typically used. The electrical installation must be carried out by a professional, as the wiring must be protected and buried in accordance with current regulations.
