Overview

The RUSH floor lamp by FARO is an outdoor luminaire designed to illuminate gardens, parks and open-air spaces where stable, well-distributed light is needed. With a height of 3.7 metres, it provides wide ground-level coverage without taking up additional space. The 360-degree lighting option ensures symmetrical distribution around the pole, with no shadowed areas.

The body is made of aluminium and polycarbonate, giving it resistance to impacts and adverse weather conditions. The IP65 certification protects the lamp against rain and the ingress of dust or solids. The IK10 rating is the highest level of protection against mechanical impacts.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in technical and decorative lighting, both for indoor and outdoor use. Their products combine functionality with careful design, conceived for residential installations and public spaces.

Installation and specifications

For installation, it is necessary to prepare a firm base in the ground to support the pole structure. Since the fixing is to the ground, it is recommended to have an adequate foundation in place before fitting the lamp. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified professional, as this is an outdoor installation with buried or protected wiring. Verify that the mains voltage is compatible with the 220V–240V range before proceeding with assembly.

To clean the surface, a soft, slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Abrasive products or solvents that could damage the dark grey finish or the transparent PC diffuser must not be used. Although the IP65 certification protects against rain, it is advisable to periodically check the condition of the seals and gaskets to maintain the level of protection over time.

Design and use

The RUSH floor lamp belongs to a technical lighting collection designed specifically for outdoor use. The design is clean and functional, with a straight profile and a dark grey finish that integrates well into urban environments, private gardens, parks or pedestrian pathways. It does not draw attention to itself; it simply does its job: illuminating the space uniformly.

The body combines aluminium and polycarbonate, two materials that complement each other well in this context. The aluminium provides rigidity and corrosion resistance, while the polycarbonate diffuser allows light to pass through clearly without losing intensity. The transparent diffuser does not alter the colour of the light, which is important when natural and true-to-life illumination of the surroundings is desired.

The integrated light source is a 38 W COB LED with a colour temperature of 2700K. That temperature corresponds to warm light, similar to the light of a candle or a traditional incandescent bulb. In a garden or park, that warm tone creates a pleasant atmosphere at night without feeling cold or industrial. This type of LED light has a long service life, reducing the need to replace the source frequently.

The 360-degree distribution option allows light to be projected symmetrically in all directions around the pole. This is especially useful on paths, squares or transit areas where continuous lighting is needed without blind spots. In a private garden, this distribution illuminates the area around the lamp uniformly, without creating sharp contrasts between lit and dark zones.

The DALI version of the product allows it to be integrated into professional lighting control systems. This is relevant for installations where the switching on, switching off or intensity of multiple luminaires is to be managed from a central point. In simpler residential settings, installation can be carried out conventionally, but DALI compatibility broadens the possibilities for more complex projects.

The height of 3.7 metres positions the lantern at a distance from the ground that distributes light well without dazzling people walking underneath. It is a common height in garden and park lighting, sufficient to cover a wide radius without requiring taller poles or additional luminaires in medium-sized spaces. As an outdoor pole, this lamp can be integrated alongside other garden elements such as stone pathways, planted areas or paved access routes.

The dark grey colour of the body makes the lamp discreet during the day. It does not stand out as a prominent decorative element, but it does not look out of place either. It combines well with materials such as concrete, dark wood, steel and natural stone, which are common in contemporary gardens and outdoor public spaces.

Questions and answers

What does it mean that the lamp has IP65 certification?

The IP65 certification indicates that the lamp is protected against the ingress of dust and solids, and also against jets of water from any direction. It is suitable for outdoor use exposed to rain without the need for additional protection.

What advantage does the 360-degree lighting option offer on this lamp?

The 360-degree distribution projects light symmetrically around the pole. This is useful on paths or transit areas where lighting is needed in all directions without leaving shadowed zones near the base.

What is the DALI version and what is it used for in this product?

DALI is a control protocol for professional lighting systems. This outdoor lamp with DALI version can be integrated into installations where the switching or intensity of multiple luminaires is managed from a central system, facilitating automated lighting in gardens or public spaces.
