Overview

The FARO RUSH 3700 street light is a technical outdoor luminaire designed to illuminate gardens, parks and open spaces where stable, long-lasting light is needed. With a height of 3.7 metres, it covers large areas without creating dark spots. It is a straightforward solution for those looking for functional outdoor lighting without complicating the installation.

The body is made of aluminium with a transparent polycarbonate diffuser. These materials ensure resistance to impacts and adverse weather conditions. The IP65 certification protects the interior of the street light from rain and solid particles, making it suitable for outdoor use all year round.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in technical and decorative lighting. Its products combine solid design with quality standards recognised in the sector.

Installation and specifications

To install this street light on an outdoor surface, it is recommended to prepare a concrete base appropriate to the weight and height of the pole. Before fixing the structure, check that the ground is level and that the electrical wiring is correctly channelled underground to the connection point. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially outdoors where safety regulations require connections protected against moisture.

Maintenance of this outdoor street light is straightforward. Clean the aluminium body with a damp cloth and avoid abrasive products that could damage the dark grey finish. The polycarbonate diffuser can be cleaned with water and neutral soap. Periodically check the fixing points to ensure the base remains firm, especially after periods of heavy rain or wind.

Design and use

The RUSH 3700 street light is part of FARO's technical outdoor lighting collection. The design is aimed at spaces where lighting must be efficient and long-lasting: private gardens, parks, pedestrian paths, residential entrances or communal areas of housing developments. The lamp integrates COB LED technology, which allows concentrated and uniform light emission with moderate consumption of 38 W.

The colour temperature of 2700 K offers a warm tone that blends well into natural environments. In a garden with vegetation, this type of light highlights volumes without creating harsh contrasts. On a path or access way, it gives a sense of visual continuity without glare. It is not the cold, clinical light of an industrial lantern, but something closer to the light of a classic urban street lamp, with a contemporary finish.

The aluminium body with a dark grey finish is discreet within the outdoor landscape. It neither imposes nor stands out excessively, making it easy to integrate into gardens of different styles, from more contemporary designs to spaces with natural stone or wood elements. The square section of 160 x 160 mm gives it balanced proportions relative to its height of 3.7 metres.

The IK10 rating is the maximum level of protection against mechanical impacts. This means that the diffuser and the body of the street light can withstand accidental knocks without compromising their function. In a public or semi-public environment, such as a communal garden or an access courtyard, this characteristic reduces the likelihood of having to replace the lamp due to surface damage.

The 360º option allows light to be distributed symmetrically around the pole. This is useful when the street light is positioned in the centre of an area, such as a small square or the intersection of several paths in a garden. The wide variant extends the dispersion angle towards the ground, which is more effective for illuminating horizontal surfaces at greater distances from the pole. The DALI version allows the street light to be integrated into lighting control systems, making it easier to adjust the light level according to the time of day or the needs of the space.

A well-lit outdoor garden completely changes the perception of the space. Well-positioned lighting allows the garden to be used at night as well, with enough visibility to move around comfortably. The RUSH 3700 street light provides that coverage without the need to install multiple light points, thanks to its height and the symmetrical distribution of light.

Questions and answers

What level of protection does this street light offer against rain and dust?

The RUSH 3700 street light has IP65 certification, which means it is fully protected against solid particles and against water jets from any direction. It is suitable for installation outdoors exposed to normal weather conditions.

Is the LED light source included with the product?

Yes, the street light includes an integrated 38 W COB LED light source. It is not necessary to purchase the lamp separately or make any additional adaptations before installation.

What is the difference between the 360º option and the wide variant in this street light?

The 360º option distributes light symmetrically around the pole, ideal for illuminating areas in all directions from a central point. The wide variant extends the projection angle towards the ground, allowing surfaces further from the pole to be reached more effectively.
