Overview

The RUSH floor lamp by FARO is an outdoor luminaire designed to illuminate gardens, parks and open-air areas where stable, long-lasting and well-distributed light is needed. With a height of 3.1 metres, it covers large surfaces without leaving shadowed areas. The asymmetric 180-degree distribution option allows the lighting to be directed exactly where it is needed, without wasting light in unnecessary directions.

The body is made of aluminium combined with polycarbonate, ensuring resistance to impacts, rain and demanding weather conditions. The IP65 protection means that neither water nor solid objects affect the operation of the lamp. The IK10 certification adds an extra layer of safety against physical impacts, something that is appreciated in public spaces or areas with frequent foot traffic.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in lighting. Its products combine careful design with technical solutions built to last. The RUSH collection reflects that approach: no superfluous elements, with materials that stand the test of time.

Installation and specifications

For the installation of this outdoor floor lamp, it is recommended to have a certified electrician. The fixture is mounted directly to the ground, so it is necessary to prepare an adequate base to ensure stability. Before starting the installation, check that the electrical connection point is properly protected and suitable for outdoor use. The voltage range of 100V to 240V allows it to be connected without adapters in most standard domestic installations.

For maintenance, clean the body surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products that could damage the dark grey finish or scratch the polycarbonate diffuser. Do not direct water jets directly onto the connection areas. Periodically check the ground anchors to ensure the structure remains secure.

Design and use

The RUSH floor lamp is part of a technical collection designed from the outset for outdoor use. Every detail of its construction responds to real conditions: temperature variations, humidity, wind and the accumulated wear suffered by any element installed outdoors.

The aluminium body provides a solid yet lightweight base. This material does not oxidise easily and maintains its shape even under significant thermal variations. The polycarbonate diffuser, for its part, allows light to pass through uniformly without accumulating visible dirt quickly. The dark grey finish gives a discreet appearance that integrates well in both private gardens and parks or communal areas.

The floor lamp works with a 38W COB LED light source. This type of LED concentrates several chips on a small surface, resulting in homogeneous light without visible hot spots. The colour temperature of 3000K produces a warm tone that transforms the outdoor atmosphere at night. In a garden, that light turns paths and rest areas into welcoming spaces, without the coldness generated by higher colour temperatures.

The asymmetric 180-degree distribution is especially useful when the floor lamp is placed next to a wall, near a façade or on the perimeter of a park. The lighting is directed towards the area of interest without scattering towards where it is not needed. This improves the efficiency of the installation and reduces light pollution in adjacent areas.

The IP65 protection guards against direct rain and dust ingress, two factors that determine the lifespan of any outdoor luminaire. The IK10 impact resistance is the maximum level on that scale, making this floor lamp suitable for environments where there may be nearby physical activity, such as sports areas, heavily used paths or access points to communal buildings.

Regarding installation, the floor lamp is fixed to the ground with a total height of 3.1 metres. That proportion is suitable for illuminating garden paths or pedestrian park avenues without creating excessive shadows or dazzling those who pass beneath. The pole and lamp come integrated in a compact design with clean lines.

The RUSH collection allows several units to be combined along a path or perimeter. The visual consistency between floor lamps of the same model creates a sense of order and continuity that improves the perception of the outdoor space, both by day and by night.

Questions and answers

Does the RUSH floor lamp already include the light source installed, or does it need to be purchased separately?

The 38W COB LED light source is included from the factory. It is not necessary to purchase or install any additional components for the floor lamp to work from the very first moment.

What level of protection does it offer against rain, and can it be installed in coastal areas with high humidity?

The floor lamp has IP65 protection, meaning it is sealed against direct water jets and dust ingress. It is a suitable option for areas with frequent rainfall or environments with high ambient humidity.

Does the 180-degree distribution option affect the power or the colour temperature of the light?

No. The asymmetric 180-degree distribution only determines the direction in which the light is projected. The power of 38W and the colour temperature of 3000K remain the same regardless of the distribution angle chosen.
