Overview

The STAN wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for indoor spaces where clean, unobtrusive lighting is desired. The STAN series is designed to provide uniform illumination that covers the space softly, without hotspots or areas left in shadow. It is a suitable option for the living room, bedroom, hallway, or bathroom — anywhere that a surface-mounted lamp fits better than a pendant.

The satin gold finish gives it a refined look without feeling overdone. This is not the kind of wall light that draws attention through ornamentation, but through the cleanness of its lines. It works equally well as the main light source in smaller spaces and as a complement in larger rooms.

FARO is a brand with a long track record in the lighting industry, recognized for manufacturing products that balance design and functionality. Their luminaires are designed for everyday domestic use, with materials and finishes that hold up well over time.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light correctly, it is advisable to have basic electrical knowledge or to hire an electrician. Before starting, disconnect the power supply at the distribution board. The fitting is mounted directly to the wall, so you will need appropriate wall plugs and screws for the type of wall where you plan to install it. Verify that your installation's wiring is compatible with the indicated voltage. The GU10 LED bulb is not included, so make sure you have one available before installation.

Clean the surface of the wall light with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive products or liquids that may damage the satin gold finish. Do not handle the lamp with wet hands or while it is connected to the electrical supply. Replace the bulb only when the wall light is switched off and cool.

Design and use

The STAN wall light has a compact profile that adapts well to walls with limited available space. With a depth of 72 mm and a length of 60 mm, it does not protrude excessively from the wall, making it useful both in narrow hallways and in bathrooms where every centimetre counts. Its height of 225 mm gives it presence without looking disproportionate in medium-scale spaces.

The body is made from aluminium and ABS, two materials that combine lightness and durability. The aluminium provides structural rigidity and allows the metallic finish to be maintained in good condition for years. The ABS complements the construction by adding strength where needed. The result is a lamp that weighs just 190 grams, which makes installation easier and reduces the demands on the fixing.

The satin gold finish is one of the most recognisable features of the STAN wall light. It is not a shiny or flashy gold, but a warm, matte tone that integrates well with different decorating styles. In a bedroom with neutral tones, the gold finish adds warmth without disrupting the overall harmony. In a living room with wooden furniture or Nordic design elements, it works as a discreet accent point. In the bathroom, above a mirror or beside it, it produces an elegant and tidy result.

The kitchen and dining room are also spaces where this wall light can fit in. In the kitchen, installed on a side wall, it complements the central lighting without creating annoying shadows. In the dining room, on either side of a mirror or a decorative piece, it helps create a more intimate atmosphere without relying solely on the ceiling lamp.

The light source is GU10 LED, a common socket that is easy to find in any lighting store. The maximum accepted power is 5 W, which represents very low consumption for daily use. The lamp accepts a wide voltage range, from 100 V to 240 V, making it compatible with standard electrical installations without the need for adapters.

The STAN series is designed for indoor use, making it a suitable option for bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas of the home. Its uniform illumination avoids harsh contrasts between lit areas and shadows, something particularly appreciated in spaces where people work, read, or simply rest.
