The SIDE 450 wall light by FARO Barcelona is a surface-mounted luminaire designed for wall installation. Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation. This wall light is fixed directly to the wall using anchors appropriate to the surface type. Before installing, make sure the support is suitable for a weight of 2.7 kg. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Switch off the circuit at the panel before starting any work. The lamp comes with the integrated LED source, so no bulb replacement is required at initial installation.

Use and maintenance. Clean the steel surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. For the glass diffuser, avoid abrasive products or solvents. Do not touch the glass with your fingers when the luminaire is switched on. Periodically check that the wall anchors remain securely fixed.

Design and use

The SIDE 450 is a wall light with a square shape measuring 450 mm per side and only 120 mm in depth. This contained profile allows it to be installed even in narrow hallways or areas where the space between the wall and the passage is limited. The lamp does not protrude excessively and does not interfere with movement inside.

The body is made of steel, which gives it a solidity that is noticeable to the touch. The matte white finish avoids reflections and fits effortlessly on walls of different tones: white, grey, beige or even more saturated colours. This is a wall light that does not compete with other elements in the space, but accompanies them.

The opal glass diffuser covers the entire front face of the lamp. This glass filters the LED light and distributes it uniformly outward. No hot spots or the direct source are visible. The light that comes out is soft and continuous, which is especially pleasant in rooms where time is spent resting or reading.

The colour temperature of 3000K places this lamp in the warm range. In a bedroom, this type of light helps create a calm atmosphere at the end of the day. In a living room, it complements the main lighting well and adds warmth to the environment without saturating it. In the kitchen, it illuminates without causing fatigue, especially in lateral work areas.

In the hallway, the SIDE 450 works as a visual reference: it marks the route and provides sufficient light to move around comfortably. Two units placed at the same height, on both sides of a longer hallway, create a balanced distribution without the need to add other light points.

Questions and answers

Does the opal glass diffuser cover the entire front opening of the wall light or only part of it?

The opal glass diffuser covers the entire front face of the luminaire. This ensures that the LED source is not exposed to direct view and that the light is distributed uniformly across the entire surface.

Is the LED source integrated or can it be replaced by a standard bulb?

The SMD LED source is integrated into the lamp and is not replaceable by the user. It comes included from the factory and does not require any additional bulb to function. In the event of a source failure, please consult the technical service.

Can the wall light be installed on a plasterboard wall or does it need a solid wall?

The wall light weighs 2.7 kg, so it can be installed on plasterboard as long as appropriate plugs and anchors for that type of surface are used. On a solid wall, installation is straightforward with conventional anchors. We recommend that installation be carried out by a professional in both cases.
