Overview

The ROB wall light by FARO is a wall lamp with an integrated reading light, designed for areas where directed, functional lighting is needed. It is designed for reading spaces, both in domestic settings and in hospitality projects or other businesses. Its shape is sober, without superfluous details, making it compatible with different types of environments without drawing too much attention.

The wall light includes a switch at the base, allowing the lamp to be turned on and off without relying on the wall switch. That detail makes a difference when placed next to a bed or in a workspace where immediate control over the light is desired.

FARO is a brand with experience in interior lighting, recognized for combining careful design with quality materials. Its products are designed for both domestic use and installations in larger-scale projects.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, check that the wall surface is clean and stable. As it is a wall-mounted luminaire, the screws must be properly secured to a firm support. If electrical wiring is involved, it is recommended that the connection be carried out by a qualified electrician. Always disconnect the power before starting any work.

To clean the body of the wall light, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte black finish. Do not touch the LED directly either when it is on or immediately after turning it off, as it may be hot. Keep the luminaire away from sources of direct moisture.

Design and use

The ROB wall light has a simplified design that adapts well to interiors where visual order is sought. The body is made of steel and aluminium, two materials that combine strength with reduced weight. At just 410 grams, it is a light yet solid lamp that does not require complicated anchoring to the wall.

The matte black finish gives it presence without being eye-catching. It is a tone that fits both industrial-style environments and more modern interiors with clean lines. In a bedroom with neutral tones, the wall light integrates without disrupting the overall look. In a living room with dark furniture, it reinforces the visual coherence of the space.

The colour temperature of 3000K produces a warm light, close to traditional incandescent light. That tone is pleasant for reading without straining the eyes and creates a relaxed atmosphere in the room where it is installed. It is not a cold or clinical light, but one that accompanies well during moments of rest or concentration.

The switch integrated into the base of the wall light is one of the most practical features of this model. It allows the light to be managed independently, without needing to get up or look for the switch on the wall. On a bedside table or next to a reading armchair, that convenience is appreciated daily.

The included LED lamp has a power of 3W, sufficient to illuminate a specific area without generating an excess of light in the rest of the room. It is a spot lighting solution, not general lighting. It works well as a complement to other light sources in the living room or dining room, or as the main light in a reading corner within the bedroom.

In terms of versatility, the ROB wall light can be installed in different types of spaces: a bedroom, a hallway, a reception area in a business, or even a bathroom if placed in an area away from direct water. It also fits in hospitality projects where a modern luminaire with a discreet profile is sought. Hallways are another common place for this type of wall light, where directed lighting is needed without taking up space.

In kitchens and dining rooms, it can be used as accent lighting or to illuminate a work area or menu reading area. In bathrooms, as supplementary lighting next to the mirror or in a passageway. The neutrality of its shape and colour makes it suitable for very different interiors, from domestic spaces to hospitality venues or small shops.

If several wall lights of the same model are installed in a hallway or next to several beds in a shared room, the result is coherent and orderly without the need for additional coordination. Its compact scale means it does not visually compete with other decorative elements on the wall.
