Overview

OTTON is a wall light by FARO with a natural linen shade. It is designed for those looking for a lamp that adds warmth without drawing too much attention. The square shade in a beige tone works well with white walls, earth tones, or neutral finishes. It functions as decorative lighting in the home or in spaces such as hotels and restaurants.

The lamp mounts directly to the wall and takes up little depth, making it useful in hallways, bedrooms, or any corner where ambient light is desired without installing a recessed spotlight. The wall light has a steel body with a matte white finish, giving it solidity and a clean look.

FARO is a brand with a long track record in the lighting industry. Its products combine natural materials with functional structures, aimed at both residential use and interior design projects in commercial spaces.

Installation and specifications

Installing this wall light requires an electrical connection point in the wall at the desired height. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a certified electrician. Before starting, make sure to cut the power supply from the circuit breaker. The steel body is fixed to the wall with anchors suited to the surface type, whether drywall, concrete, or brick.

The linen shade is a natural material that can accumulate dust. Clean it with a dry cloth or a soft brush. Do not use water or liquid products on the shade. The matte white steel body can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasives that could scratch the finish.

Design and use

The OTTON wall light has a square shape of 200 x 200 mm and 100 mm in depth. These dimensions place it in a compact format that does not create excessive volume on the wall. The linen shade, made from locally sourced natural materials, filters light gently and produces a warm atmosphere, without hard edges or strong contrasts.

The lamp has a steel body with a matte white finish. This combination of a beige shade and white structure creates a calm contrast that is neither imposing nor goes unnoticed. It is the kind of wall light that complements the atmosphere without competing with other elements in the room.

In the bedroom, the wall light works well as a side reading light or as bedside lighting. The linen shade softens the lamp's beam and prevents direct glare, which is comfortable for spaces where people rest. It can also be installed on both sides of the bed if symmetry in the décor is desired.

In the living room, the OTTON wall light provides ambient light when placed in areas that do not require direct illumination. It works well above a sideboard, next to a sofa, or on a wall that needs visual presence without overloading the space. The linen texture adds a tactile, organic element that contrasts well with smooth surfaces such as painted plaster or polished concrete.

In the dining room, one or two units on the side wall complement a central pendant light. The wall light does not replace the main lighting, but adds layers of light that make the space more welcoming. The beige shade does not distort the light tone, so the colors of the table and decorative elements remain natural.

In the bathroom, this wall light can be installed next to the mirror if the light point is in the correct position. Side lighting over the mirror eliminates the shadows created by an overhead luminaire. In that context, the linen shade adds a different touch to what conventional bathroom wall lights typically offer.

In hallways, the OTTON wall light can be placed in a series along the wall to create a sequence of light that guides the path without the need for recessed ceiling spotlights. The square format makes it easy to align multiple units visually.

The shade is locally made with natural materials. This gives the product a slight variability in texture that is not a defect but rather a characteristic of linen. Each piece may have small differences in the weave that make it unique within an artisanal production.

The lamp is compatible with E27 LED bulbs of up to 15 W. The bulb is not included and must be purchased separately. It is recommended to use a warm-temperature LED to get the best out of the linen shade, which accentuates golden tones and softens white light.

The wall light is also suitable for spaces such as boutique hotel receptions, restaurants with natural décor, or waiting rooms where a calm atmosphere is sought. The combination of materials, scale, and finish places it in a register that works both in domestic contexts and in professional interior design projects with a Nordic or organic character.

Questions and answers

Is the linen shade interchangeable or is it permanently fixed to the wall light body?

The shade is part of the assembly as the product is received. It is not designed to be routinely dismounted. If you have any doubts about assembly, please refer to the included instructions or contact our customer service.

Is the OTTON wall light suitable for installation in bathrooms with ambient humidity, such as near the shower?

The product specifications do not include an IP protection rating, so its use in areas of direct humidity cannot be confirmed. It is recommended to install it in dry areas of the bathroom, such as next to the mirror in the washbasin area, away from the shower or bathtub.

Does the 100V–240V voltage allow this wall light to be used without an adapter in any country in Latin America?

Yes. The indicated voltage range covers the electrical standards of most countries in the region, including those that operate at 110V and those that operate at 220V. No additional transformer is needed.
