Overview

The NOVO wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for those looking for a functional light source without sacrificing the character of the space. Its matte terracotta finish gives the front a soft presence, free of shine or forced contrasts. It mounts directly to the wall and can be oriented in three different positions, allowing the direction of light to be adjusted to suit the specific needs of each corner.

What sets this wall light apart is the combination of simplicity and versatility. The option of horizontal or vertical mounting means it adapts to different layouts without needing to change the bracket or modify the installation. It is a lamp that solves common situations in the home: lighting a hallway, accompanying a bedhead, or adding a light point in the bathroom or kitchen.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior and exterior lighting. Its products combine functionality and design without falling into excess. The NOVO wall light reflects that approach to the lamp: discreet, well-resolved, and durable.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, check that the light point on the wall matches the intended position. This wall light is fixed directly to the wall using the included mounting system. If the existing electrical bracket does not match the dimensions of the wall light, an additional adapter or ceiling rose may be required. It is recommended that the electrical installation be carried out by a qualified professional, especially when working near water sources such as in the bathroom or kitchen.

To clean the surface of the lamp, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte terracotta finish. Do not touch the LED source directly with your fingers. Always disconnect the wall light from the power supply before any cleaning or handling.

Design and use

The body of the NOVO wall light is made of steel with a matte terracotta finish that covers the tiltable front. This earthy tone, sitting between ochre and muted orange, is one of those colors that does not compete with the rest of the space. It pairs well with white or light grey walls, but also works with warmer tones such as beige or sand. In a room with natural wood or rustic-style elements, the terracotta appears as a detail that completes without imposing.

The tiltable front in three positions is a practical feature that goes beyond aesthetic detail. It allows the light to be directed upward, horizontally, or downward, depending on what is needed in each case. In the bedroom, directed downward, it serves as a reading light without disturbing the rest of the room. In the living room, in the horizontal position, it can work as ambient light above a sofa or next to a bookshelf. In the hallway, pointing downward, it marks the path without creating an excessive focal point.

The option of installing it horizontally or vertically further expands the placement options. Horizontally, it takes up less height and can be positioned more freely in relation to other elements on the wall. Vertically, the wall light gains visual prominence and can act as a small decorative element beside a door or mirror.

The included SMD LED emits light at 2700K, a warm color temperature close to that of a candle or a classic incandescent bulb. This type of light is suitable for spaces where a calm atmosphere is desired: the bedroom, the dining room, or a living room. In the kitchen, placed above the worktop or under a cabinet, it provides a functional light point without feeling too cold. In the bathroom, the warm light softens the ambiance and works well next to a mirror, although it is advisable to verify the suitability of the installation point in relation to moisture regulations.

The dimensions of the wall light are compact: 250 mm long, 107 mm high, and 67 mm deep. This means it does not project too much volume from the wall and does not take up unnecessary visual space. Its weight of 0.6 kg makes it easy to handle during installation.

In narrow hallways, where lateral space is limited, this type of wall lamp fits better than any ceiling solution with a hanging arm. Also in small bathrooms, where functional light is needed near the mirror without installing a bulky wall light. In the dining room, two units placed symmetrically on either side of a piece of furniture or a work of art create a balanced and elegant effect without requiring major changes to the installation.
