Overview

LUNA is a wall light designed for those looking for straightforward, no-fuss illumination. It mounts directly on the wall and provides directed light exactly where it is needed. It is a compact-sized lamp that fits well in spaces such as the bedroom, bathroom, hallway or living room, without taking up space or drawing too much attention.

The ribbed grey finish gives it a neat, contemporary look. It is not a showy lamp, but it does not go unnoticed either. Its simple shape makes it easy to pair with light-coloured walls, concrete cladding or dark surfaces. Whether in a modern bathroom or a living room with a more neutral décor, this wall light adapts without forcing the overall look.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in luminaires for interior spaces. Their products combine quality materials with finishes that hold up well over time.

Installation and specifications

Installing this wall light requires an existing electrical connection point on the wall, or the possibility of creating one before mounting. As a surface-mounted luminaire, it is fixed directly to the wall without the need for recessing. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician. Before connecting the lamp, make sure the circuit is de-energised. The GU10 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately.

To clean the body of the wall light, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the grey finish. Do not clean the lamp with the bulb on or immediately after switching it off. Periodically check that the fixing screws are properly tightened.

Design and use

LUNA is a wall light made from aluminium and steel, two materials that combine lightness and solidity. The body, finished in ribbed grey, has a texture that captures light well without being excessive. It is a type of finish that does not show fingerprints easily and maintains its original appearance with minimal upkeep.

The dimensions of this lamp are compact: 100 mm high, 80 mm long and 65 mm deep. This makes it particularly useful in hallways where space is limited, or in bathrooms where the lamp must take up as little room as possible while still fulfilling its function. It also works well in the bedroom, placed on either side of the headboard to provide reading or ambient light. In the dining room, it can complement central lighting if a specific area of the space needs reinforcing.

The wall light uses a GU10 LED bulb, with a maximum power of 8 W. This type of light source is efficient and has a long lifespan. Since the bulb is not included, you can choose the colour temperature that best suits the atmosphere you are looking for: a warmer light for the bedroom or living room, or a more neutral one for the kitchen or bathroom.

The grey colour of the body is one of the strengths of this wall light. It is a shade that does not impose too many restrictions when combining with other elements in the space. It works well with white surfaces, walls in earthy tones or exposed concrete finishes. It does not require a strongly defined decorating style to blend in: whether in a setting with modern lines or a more understated one, this wall light finds its place without creating contrast.

In the bathroom, a wall light like LUNA can be placed on either side of the mirror to avoid the shadows created by overhead lighting. In hallways, it illuminates the path without the need to install ceiling luminaires. In the kitchen, it can be directed towards work areas where more focused light is needed. In the dining room, it adds an additional layer of lighting when the main lamp is not sufficient.

The ribbed finish is not purely aesthetic. It helps prevent the surface from looking flat or generic, adding some visual character to the overall appearance. It is a detail that sets this lamp apart from more standard wall lights without turning it into a statement decorative element.

The wall light weighs just 0.2 kg, which makes installation easy and does not require complex fixings. Compatibility with voltages from 100V to 240V makes it suitable for use in different countries, although its primary use is intended for standard residential installations.

Questions and answers

Is the LUNA wall light compatible with any GU10 bulb, or are there power restrictions?

This wall light accepts GU10 LED bulbs with a maximum power of 8 W. It is recommended not to exceed this limit to ensure correct and safe operation. The bulb is not included with the product and must be purchased separately.

Is the body of the wall light made of plastic or metal?

The body is made from aluminium and steel. These are resistant and lightweight materials that ensure durability and maintain the ribbed grey finish well over time.

Can this wall light be installed in a bathroom?

Yes, it can be placed in the bathroom, although before doing so it is advisable to check the protection zones established by the electrical regulations in force in your country. As no IP rating is specified in the technical data, it is recommended not to install it in areas with direct exposure to water or heavy steam.
