Overview

The LUNE wall light by FARO is a wall lamp with a ribbed black finish that adapts well to different areas of the home. Its compact format makes it useful in places where direct lighting is needed without taking up too much space. It works equally well in a hallway, a bedroom, or a bathroom, where available ceiling space is often limited.

The lamp uses a GU10 LED bulb, ensuring low energy consumption and a long lifespan. The body combines aluminium and steel with a black finish, giving it sturdiness without adding unnecessary weight. FARO is a brand with a long track record in interior lighting, known for functional designs that integrate effortlessly into contemporary environments.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, check that the wall is in good condition and that the wiring is accessible from the point where you want to place it. As it is a surface-mounted wall luminaire, you will need an electrician if you have no experience with electrical installations. The compatible voltage ranges from 100V to 240V, so there is no compatibility issue with standard domestic installations. Please note that the GU10 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately before using the lamp.

For maintenance, clean the surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the black finish of the body. Before cleaning or changing the bulb, always disconnect the power at the switch or the electrical panel.

Design and use

The LUNE wall light has a solid construction thanks to the combination of aluminium and steel. These two materials complement each other well: aluminium provides lightness and steel gives rigidity to the whole. The result is a lamp that weighs just 0.2 kg, making installation easy on almost any type of wall.

The ribbed black finish is one of the most defining features of this model. The ribs run across the surface of the body and create a texture effect that makes the lamp stand out, without being showy. Against a room with white or grey walls, the wall light creates a clean contrast. In spaces with darker tones, it integrates naturally without losing presence.

In the bedroom, this wall light can be used as a side reading light next to the bed, as a replacement for a bedside lamp. It takes up less space and keeps the surface free. It also works well as ambient lighting in the bedroom, especially when combined with another light source on the ceiling.

In the bathroom, the compact format of the wall light makes it compatible with smaller spaces. It can be placed on either side of the mirror for more even illumination of the face, avoiding the shadows created by a single overhead light. For installations in bathrooms, it is important to verify the placement zone and comply with safety regulations for damp environments.

In hallways, this type of lamp is a common choice. Hallways typically need light points along their length, and a wall light resolves this without requiring additional works. Its modern design fits in with a variety of decorating styles, from more minimalist interiors to spaces with more character.

In the kitchen, the wall light can serve a secondary or decorative lighting function, especially in areas where the main light does not reach well. A kitchen corner with little natural light can benefit from an additional point on the wall. In the dining room, placed at the right height, it can create ambient lighting that complements the central light above the table.

The GU10 LED bulb accepts up to 8 W of maximum wattage. This type of light source is efficient and widely available. As it is not included, you can choose the colour temperature that best suits your intended use: warmer light for a bedroom or living room, more neutral light for a bathroom or kitchen.

With its compact size — 100 mm high, 80 mm long and 65 mm deep — the LUNE wall light fits into spaces where other luminaires would not. It is a practical solution for those looking for a functional wall light with a refined appearance and quality materials, without complicating installation or maintenance.

Questions and answers

Is the LUNE wall light compatible with any type of GU10 bulb or only with LED?

The wall light is designed to work with a GU10 LED bulb, with a maximum wattage of 8 W. It is recommended to use exclusively this type of light source to stay within the product's limits.

Is the body of the wall light made entirely of aluminium or does it also include steel?

The body combines aluminium and steel. This combination allows the lamp to be lightweight — weighing just 0.2 kg — while at the same time having sufficient rigidity for safe wall installation.

Does the 100V-240V voltage mean it is compatible with the standard electrical installation in Spain?

Yes. The domestic electrical installation in Spain operates at 230V, which is within the compatibility range of this wall light. You do not need any additional adapter or transformer.
