Overview

The FARO wall light is a surface-mounted lamp designed for those who want to refresh a space without complications. Its steel structure in a matte white finish gives it a clean, tidy look that fits well in modern interiors without drawing too much attention. It works equally well for lighting hallways or adding focused light in a room where the ceiling does not allow for another solution.

The lamp operates with a GU10 LED bulb, which is not included, so you can choose the intensity and colour temperature that best suits the atmosphere you are looking for. Its compact design and reduced weight make it easy to install without requiring complex work.

FARO is a brand with a long track record in the interior and exterior lighting sector. Its products combine functionality with contemporary design, and this wall light is no exception. The design was developed by Estudi Ribaudí, a studio with experience in creating lighting pieces with aesthetic criteria and everyday use in mind.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the wall where you will mount it is solid and free of moisture. Switch off the power supply at the main panel before starting any wiring work. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if you need to run a new cable through the wall. Verify that the existing wiring is compatible with the voltage accepted by the lamp before connecting it.

To keep the wall light in good condition, clean the steel surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte white finish. Do not touch the GU10 LED bulb directly with your hands when it is installed and hot. Always disconnect the lamp from the mains before cleaning it or replacing the bulb.

Design and use

The FARO wall light has a discreet profile that adapts well to different contexts within the home. Its steel body in matte white does not impose itself, yet it does not go unnoticed either: it brings a clean presence that complements smooth surfaces, walls painted in neutral tones, or combinations with light wood. It is a lamp that does not need to take centre stage to perform its function competently.

In the bedroom, this wall light works well as a reading light or as ambient side lighting. Installed at the right height beside the bed, the lamp eliminates the need for a bedside table lamp or loose cables running along the wall. In the living room it can be used to create accent lighting over a specific area, without replacing the main light source.

The kitchen is another space where this type of wall light finds its place. Positioned above a work area or on a side where overhead lighting does not reach well, it can solve a practical problem without disrupting the overall style. In the dining room, a wall light can complement the central lamp and create a more balanced atmosphere during meals.

Hallways are often the most overlooked spaces when it comes to lighting. A wall light in a narrow hallway is more efficient than an overly powerful ceiling lamp, and takes up less visual space. The FARO lamp, with its compact dimensions, fits well in smaller hallways where every centimetre counts.

In the bathroom, if the electrical and installation conditions allow, this wall light can work well as supplementary lighting beside a mirror or over a specific area. The sobriety of its matte white finish makes it easy to pair with tiles, sanitaryware, and the finishes typically found in modern or minimalist bathrooms.

The contemporary design by Estudi Ribaudí is evident in the proportions between its parts. There are no superfluous decorative elements: form follows function, and the result is a lamp that can be combined with other styles without creating visual conflict. It pairs well with straight-lined furniture, with black or grey finishes, and also with warmer interiors where natural textures predominate.

Compatibility with a GU10 LED bulb is a practical advantage. This type of light source is energy-efficient, has a long lifespan, and is readily available in any shop. As the bulb is not included, you are free to choose the one that best suits your intended use: warm light for more relaxed settings, or cool light if you need greater clarity in a work area.
