KLEE is a wall light designed for those looking for a lamp that combines function and form without taking up space. It works in the bedroom as a nighttime reading light, in the living room as a secondary light source, in the dining room to create a more intimate atmosphere, or in the hallway where there is no room for a floor lamp or ceiling light. The indirect light shade provides a soft and even glow on the wall, while the adjustable arm allows you to direct the light exactly where it is needed — above a book, a side table, a picture.

This wall light was designed by Isaac Piñeiro for FARO, a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior lighting. FARO works with durable materials and carefully crafted finishes, and this lamp reflects that in its details: the texture of the body, the quality of the opal diffuser, the logic of the two independent lighting systems.

What makes KLEE different is that it fits well in almost any type of space — it does not impose a particular style, but it does not go unnoticed either.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, check that the chosen wall has accessible electrical wiring at that point. As a surface-mounted luminaire with direct wall fixing, it does not require a recessed box, but it does require a correctly installed mains connection. If you have no experience with electrical installations, the safest option is to hire an electrician for the mounting. The wall light can be positioned vertically or horizontally depending on the available space and the desired lighting effect.

To clean the body surface, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents, especially on the textured grey finish. The PMMA diffuser should be cleaned with a soft cloth — do not use scourers or cleaners that could scratch it. Always disconnect the lamp from the power supply before handling or cleaning it.

Design and use

KLEE has a compact body made of steel and melamine in textured grey. The finish is neither smooth nor glossy — it has a texture that absorbs ambient light and prevents the wall light from drawing too much attention when switched off. With only 30 mm of depth, it barely protrudes from the wall, making it particularly useful in small rooms or hallways where the space between the wall and the passageway is tight.

The lamp features two independent light sources. On one hand, an adjustable reading arm located on the left side, designed to direct light with precision. On the other, an indirect light projected through a circular beam with an opal diffuser. This PMMA diffuser distributes the light smoothly, without creating patches or high-intensity spots on the wall. The indirect light is dimmable and controlled by a switch that is part of the wall light's own structure — no additional installation or home automation required.

The colour temperature is 2700K, which corresponds to a warm light similar to that of a traditional bulb. This type of light is suitable for spaces where relaxation or comfort is sought — the bedroom, the living room in the evenings, the dining room during a quiet dinner. It is not a cold working light, but rather a light that accompanies.

By being installable both vertically and horizontally, the wall light adapts to different configurations. In the vertical position it looks great next to the bed, as a headboard lamp. Horizontally it can work above a mirror in the bathroom, provided the installation conditions allow it, or in the dining room creating a lateral strip of light on the wall. In hallways, installed horizontally at mid-height, it distributes light well without pointing directly at the eyes.

Isaac Piñeiro's design does not follow a specific decorative line. The textured grey and clean shapes allow this wall light to coexist with Nordic-style interiors, more industrial settings, or modern spaces with neutral colours. It has no ornaments, no elements that refer to a specific style. This makes it versatile — it works equally well next to a bed with an upholstered headboard as on a bare concrete wall.

In the bathroom, installed above the sink or next to the mirror, it provides a warm light that softens the atmosphere. In the living room, placed at eye level when seated, it can work as a reading light or as a decorative light source when the ceiling is already illuminated. In the kitchen, if there is a work area or a bar, it can direct the reading light towards that surface and leave the indirect light on for the general ambience.

Questions and answers

Is it possible to install KLEE both vertically and horizontally?

Yes. The wall light is designed to be mounted in both positions depending on the needs of the space. This allows it to be adapted to different locations on the wall without the visual result being affected.

Do the indirect light and the reading light work independently?

Yes. The indirect light is dimmed and activated with the switch integrated into the wall light's structure. The adjustable reading arm on the left side operates separately, allowing each light source to be used according to what is needed at any given moment.

Does the PMMA diffuser yellow over time or deteriorate from the heat of the LED?

The included COB LED generates less heat than other traditional light sources, which reduces the risk of diffuser deterioration. PMMA is a material that is stable under moderate heat, so under normal usage conditions it maintains its opal finish without yellowing.
