Installation and specifications

For installation, a power point on the wall where the wall light is to be placed is required. As it is a surface-mounted wall fixture, the wiring is concealed behind the structure. It is recommended that the electrical installation be carried out by a qualified technician. Before starting, ensure that the circuit is de-energized. The lamp allows vertical or horizontal installation, so it is advisable to decide on the orientation before marking the wall.

To clean the surface, a soft dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Abrasive products or solvents that could damage the textured black finish or the opal diffuser should not be used. The LED light source is included and does not require frequent replacement. Avoid touching the diffuser with your fingers when the wall light has been on for a while.

Design and use

The KLEE wall light has a very contained profile: just 30 mm deep. This means it does not protrude noticeably from the wall, but integrates naturally into the surface. The body, made of steel and melamine with a textured black finish, has a matte texture that does not reflect light directly and holds up well over time without losing its presence.

The adjustable reading light, located on the left side, allows the beam to be directed exactly where needed. It is useful in a bedroom, beside the bed, where each person can adjust their own light source without disturbing the other. It also works well in a reading room or in a wall corner with an armchair. The flexibility of orientation is a real advantage in everyday use.

The indirect light is activated separately, via a switch integrated into the structure of the wall light. It is projected through a circular beam with an opal diffuser, which distributes the light softly, without strongly marked zones or harsh contrasts. This function is especially useful when a more relaxed atmosphere is sought: background lighting that accompanies without taking centre stage. The 2700K temperature produces a warm light, similar to traditional incandescent light, which is pleasant in spaces where people rest or spend time in calm.

The possibility of installing the wall light both vertically and horizontally opens up interesting options. In a vertical position it looks good in narrow hallways or next to a door. Horizontally it adapts better to compositions above a headboard, a console, or a mirror. In the bathroom, if electrical conditions allow, it can work as supplementary light next to the mirror. In the kitchen, placed on the work wall, it can add focused light to an area that does not receive sufficient general lighting.

Isaac Piñeiro's design for this lamp does not follow an overloaded aesthetic. The shape is clean, geometric, without unnecessary ornamentation. This makes it compatible with very different interiors: from a living room with straight-lined furniture to a more neutral bedroom or a dining room where a different light source from the ceiling is sought. The textured black combines with wood finishes, with white or grey walls, and also with other metal elements in the same tone.

In hallways where general lighting is often scarce, this wall light can do real work: illuminating the passage and, at the same time, creating a point of visual interest. In the dining room, installed at mid-height on the wall, it can provide a layer of light that the ceiling alone does not offer. In the bathroom, as a supplement to general lighting, it adds functionality without taking up space.

The COB LED light source is already included, so there is no need to look for a compatible bulb. With 10 W consumption and energy class D, the energy use is moderate for the level of light it generates.

Questions and answers

Can the KLEE wall light be installed horizontally without losing any function?

Yes. The wall light is designed to be installed both vertically and horizontally. In both positions, the adjustable reading light and the dimmable indirect light work the same way. You only need to take the orientation into account before fixing the body to the wall.

Are the indirect light and the reading light controlled separately?

The indirect light has its own switch integrated into the structure of the wall light, allowing it to be activated independently. This means you can use only the reading light, only the indirect light, or both at the same time, depending on what is needed at any given moment.

Does the opal diffuser significantly reduce the intensity of the indirect light?

The PMMA diffuser with opal finish distributes the light evenly and softens the beam, but does not eliminate it. The function is to create pleasant ambient lighting, without direct light points or glare. For reading or work, it is recommended to use the adjustable reading light, which does provide a more concentrated beam.
