Overview

The ETERNA wall light by FARO is a surface-mounted lamp designed for interior installations where classic style and functionality coexist effortlessly. This model includes a right-facing adjustable reader, making it especially useful at bed headboards, reading areas, or workspaces where a precise, well-directed light point is needed.

The beige shade gives a calm presence on the wall. It does not draw excessive attention, but it does not go unnoticed either. It is a wall light that fits well in bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, or hotel rooms alike.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a long track record in lighting for interior design, hospitality, and residential use. The ETERNA collection is one of its developments aimed at environments where durability and aesthetic consistency are equally important.

Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation. This wall light is fixed directly onto the wall using the included anchoring system. Before installation, make sure the surface is solid and can support the weight of the light. A wall light point with pre-installed wiring is required. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, it is highly recommended to hire an electrician. Please note that the E27 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately before operating the lamp.

Use and care. To clean the chrome body, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the metallic finish. The beige shade can be cleaned with a dry or minimally damp cloth. Before any cleaning or maintenance operation, always disconnect the lamp from the power supply.

Design and use

The ETERNA wall light has a solid construction. The body is made of steel with a chrome finish, giving it a clean, tidy appearance without being overly eye-catching. Chrome is not a finish that shouts modern at first glance, but it works well in spaces where visual coherence is sought without overcomplicating the overall look.

The beige shade is one of the elements that defines the character of this lamp. The neutral tone of the fabric allows the light it emits to be warm and diffuse, without creating harsh contrasts on the wall. This makes it a suitable option for the bedroom, where overly direct lighting can be uncomfortable.

The right-facing adjustable reader is a practical detail that makes sense in very specific uses. At a bed headboard, for example, it allows reading without disturbing the person sleeping next to you. In a living room or a hallway with a seating area, that additional spotlight can serve to illuminate a work surface or a decorative point without the need to add another light source.

At 470 mm in height, the wall light has a reasonable presence on the wall without being bulky. Its 200 mm depth is sufficient for the shade to project light well, and the weight of 1.67 kg keeps it stable once correctly fixed.

This wall lamp fits well in various home settings. In the master bedroom, it can replace bedside table lamps, freeing up surface space and giving the overall look a more refined appearance. In a living room with good ceiling height, two units on either side of a sofa or fireplace create a symmetrical composition that works both day and night.

In the guest room, where a neutral and welcoming atmosphere is usually sought, this wall light fulfils its role well without imposing a strongly defined style. It also makes sense in hallways where central lighting does not always reach certain stretches well, and a side wall light resolves that shortcoming without complicated works.

The design of the ETERNA collection was originally conceived for hospitality environments, where lamps must withstand continuous use and maintain a good appearance for years. That same logic applies to domestic use: a wall light that does not require frequent replacements or complicated upkeep.

Compatibility with E27 screw cap LED bulbs is a plus. That format is one of the most common on the market, making it easy to find options with different colour temperatures depending on the desired atmosphere. A warm light around 2700 K reinforces the calm character of the wall light in a bedroom or bathroom. A slightly more neutral light may work better in hallways or kitchens.

As for combination with other elements, the chrome finish pairs well with straight-lined furniture, white or grey lacquered surfaces, and also with light woods. It is not a wall light that dominates the space, but one that complements it.

Questions and answers

Does the wall light include the E27 LED bulb or does it need to be purchased separately?

The bulb is not included. You need to purchase an E27 screw cap LED bulb separately before installing and switching on the wall light.

Does the adjustable reader on the wall light operate independently from the main body of the lamp?

The reader is an integrated part of the wall light, oriented to the right according to the design of the ETERNA collection. Its function is to provide an additional, directed light point, complementary to that of the main body.

Does the chrome steel body require any special care to maintain its finish?

It is sufficient to clean it periodically with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Abrasive products or those with strong chemical components should be avoided, as they can deteriorate the chrome finish over time.
