Overview

The FARO wall light is a plaster lamp with a matte white finish designed for indoor lighting. It works well in spaces where direct but discreet light is desired, without elements that distract the eye. Its elongated shape and moderate size allow it to be integrated into different types of environments without being intrusive.

This wall light offers a solid alternative to plastic or metal models: plaster absorbs and distributes light differently, and its surface has an appearance closer to architectural finishes than to conventional lighting objects. The lamp is fixed directly to the wall, without additional structures.

FARO is a company with experience in designing luminaires for indoor and outdoor use. Their products are aimed at those looking for lighting solutions with a carefully considered aesthetic profile, without sacrificing everyday functionality.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light, an existing light point on the wall must be available, or the wiring must be prepared before fixing the body. The fixture mounts directly to the wall, so it is advisable to mark the anchor points precisely before drilling. If the wall is made of plasterboard or has internal cavities, it is recommended to use expansion anchors suitable for the type of surface. Installation must be carried out by a qualified person, as it involves electrical connection. The wall light supports voltages between 100 V and 240 V, making it compatible with the standard electrical grid in Spain and most countries.

The plaster body requires simple care. To clean the surface, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Abrasive products or solvents should not be used, as they can damage the matte finish. Care should be taken not to knock the body during cleaning or handling, as plaster is more fragile than metal or plastic. Before changing the bulb, make sure the lamp is disconnected from the power supply.

Design and use

The FARO wall lamp is constructed in plaster, a material normally associated with construction finishes but which in this case becomes the central element of the design. The matte white finish of the body gives a clean visual result, without glare or reflections that could be bothersome. This allows the wall light to function as a decorative element in itself, not just as a light source.

The dimensions are contained: 353 mm in length, 75 mm in height and 75 mm in depth. This format means the wall light takes up little space on the wall and is suitable for standard-sized rooms. In a bedroom, placed at bedside height, it can serve as a reading light without taking up space on the work surface. In a living room, installed on a side wall, it provides a warmer and more directed ambient light than central lighting.

In the kitchen, a wall light of these characteristics can solve the lighting of transit or work areas without the need to install recessed spotlights. In the dining room, combined with a ceiling lamp, it helps to create layers of light that make the space more pleasant during meals. It also fits well in hallways, where the reduced space does not allow the installation of larger luminaires.

The bathroom is another environment where this type of wall light makes sense. In modern bathrooms with light-coloured walls, the matte white of the plaster integrates easily. The horizontal format makes it suitable for placing above the mirror, where uniform, shadow-free light facilitates everyday tasks. The installation zone must be taken into account and verified to be compatible with the protection rating required for that specific point in the bathroom.

The wall light uses a G9 LED bulb, which is not included and must be purchased separately. This type of light source is compact and efficient, and a wide variety is available on the market. The maximum supported power is 6 W, sufficient for spot or ambient lighting in domestic spaces.

As for combining with other interior elements, the matte white plaster wall light works well alongside furniture in neutral tones, concrete surfaces, light wood or textured finishes. Plaster has an almost sculptural quality that gives it its own character without imposing itself on the rest of the space. In interiors with a contemporary or minimalist style, this type of lamp is consistent with the overall decorative direction.

Questions and answers

Does the wall light include the G9 LED bulb or does it need to be purchased separately?

The light source is not included. It is necessary to purchase a G9 LED bulb separately, with a maximum power of 6 W.

Is the plaster body resistant to everyday indoor use?

Plaster is a more delicate material than metal or plastic, but it is perfectly suitable for use on interior walls. It requires avoiding direct impacts and cleaning with abrasive products. With basic maintenance, it retains its appearance for years.

Is the lamp compatible with the standard electrical installation in Spain?

Yes. The wall light supports voltages between 100 V and 240 V, making it compatible with the electrical grid in Spain and most European countries.
