Overview

DOME is a wall light designed for those seeking functional lighting without sacrificing a carefully considered style. It works well in a bedroom, living room, hallway, or any area where ceiling light does not reach precisely. The adjustable arm allows you to direct the beam exactly where it is needed, without having to move the fixture or change its position on the wall.

The lamp combines a clean silhouette with solid materials. The satin black finish on steel gives a discreet yet defined presence, without drawing too much attention. The diffuser shade softens the light and prevents direct glare, which is especially useful in rest or reading spaces.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a long track record in interior lighting. Their products are designed for both domestic use and contract-type projects, such as hotels or restaurants. DOME is part of the line designed by Faro Lab, with a clear focus on simple shapes and durable finishes.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the chosen wall has access to a light point or a nearby electrical conduit. The fixture mounts directly to the surface, so it is worth checking the type of wall — partition, brick, or concrete — and using the appropriate anchors. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if any chasing or cable routing is required.

To clean the surface, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the satin black finish. The E27 LED bulb is not included, so keep this in mind before starting up. Make sure to disconnect the power before handling any part of the lamp.

Design and use

The DOME wall light has a steel-based construction, a material that provides stability and a clean feel to the whole piece. The satin black finish is neither glossy nor fully matte, sitting at a midpoint that catches the light without creating bothersome reflections. This balance allows the lamp to integrate well on both light and dark walls, without dominating the space or getting lost in it.

The adjustable arm is one of the most practical features of this wall light. It allows you to adjust the direction of the light according to the needs of the moment — illuminating a reading area beside the bed in a bedroom, accompanying a side table in the living room, or highlighting a specific point in a hallway. That flexibility means the same fixture works differently depending on where it is placed and how it is oriented.

The diffuser shade serves a clear purpose: it distributes light evenly and reduces the harshness of the beam. The result is lighting that does not strain the eyes, suitable for spaces where extended time is spent. In a kitchen or dining room, for example, it can serve as supplementary light alongside a main source, adding warmth without overwhelming. In a bathroom, a wall light of this type placed next to a mirror noticeably improves visibility without creating shadows.

Compatibility with an E27 LED bulb and the 100V–240V voltage range make the lamp straightforward to adapt to any standard installation. Being dimmable, it allows you to adjust the intensity according to the time of day or the ambiance you want to create. That ability to dim the lamp is especially useful in rooms where lighting needs to shift between different functions — working, resting, dining.

The design of DOME does not follow a specific aesthetic nor does it attempt to fit a particular trend. It is modern in the sense that it has no superfluous decorative elements, yet it is neither cold nor excessively industrial. It works with light wood furniture, with more refined finishes in black or anthracite, or in mixed environments where different materials coexist. That neutrality is precisely what makes it versatile.

In medium to large bathrooms, wall lights are an interesting alternative to ceiling flush mounts. Placed at the right height, they illuminate the space more directly and efficiently. In long hallways, a series of lights like DOME can resolve the lighting in an orderly way, without the need to install recessed fixtures. The low weight of the fixture — 1.1 kg net — makes installation possible without additional reinforcement in most cases.

The DOME lamp also adapts well to contract environments such as small hotels or cafés, where a clean and durable result is sought without major maintenance interventions. Its resistant finish and steel construction are practical arguments beyond the aesthetic.

Questions and answers

Can the arm of the wall light be moved once installed, or does it stay fixed in one position?

The arm is adjustable, meaning you can change the direction of the light after mounting the fixture on the wall. It does not lock into a fixed position.

Is the E27 LED bulb included in the package?

No, the bulb is not included. You will need to purchase it separately. The socket is a standard E27, compatible with most LED bulbs available on the market.

Is this wall light compatible with dimmer systems?

The DOME lamp incorporates dimmable light, so it supports intensity regulation. For it to work correctly with a dimmer, make sure the LED bulb you choose is also dimmable.
