Overview

CONFETTI is a surface lamp designed for those looking for something specific: a piece that works well and has a story behind it. It can be installed on the wall as a wall light or directly on the ceiling as a flush mount, which gives considerable freedom when planning the lighting of a room. Its 450 mm diameter makes it a visible presence, but without feeling visually heavy.

This lamp belongs to the CONFETTI collection, developed by the Nutcreatives studio. The shade is made from recycled plastic sourced from bottle caps, and all production takes place in Valencia. The body is aluminium in a matte black finish, a colour that fits effortlessly in modern spaces as well as more neutral environments.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a long track record in interior and exterior lighting. Their products combine design criteria with attention to constructive detail, and CONFETTI is a good example of that way of working.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this wall light, make sure the wall surface is level and capable of supporting the weight of the assembly. Cut the power at the electrical panel before handling the wiring. If the installation involves work on the electrical box or cable routing, it is advisable to hire an electrician. The lamp accepts voltages between 100 V and 240 V, making it compatible with the standard electrical grid in Spain. Please note that the E27 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately.

To clean the shade, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the recycled material. Do not touch the bulb with unprotected hands when it is hot. Periodically check that the wall light remains securely fixed to the wall, especially in areas with vibrations or frequent temperature changes.

Design and use

The CONFETTI lamp has a simple visual logic: the shade is the protagonist, and the bulb is visible as part of the whole. There are no elements competing with each other. The result is a clean piece, where each component sits naturally in its place.

The matte black aluminium body provides solidity without adding unnecessary volume. It is a finish that does not stand out on its own, but rather lets the recycled plastic shade carry the aesthetic weight. That contrast between materials — one technical and one of sustainable origin — gives character to the whole without the need for ornamentation.

As a wall light, CONFETTI works well in the living room, in hallways, or in any space where a lateral light source adds depth to the atmosphere. In the living room, a pair of wall lights at the same height can frame a sofa or a bookshelf without the need for floor lamps. In hallways, where space is often limited, this type of wall-mounted light frees up the floor and keeps circulation unobstructed.

In the bedroom, the wall light can replace conventional bedside tables with a table lamp. Fixed directly to the wall at the appropriate height, it keeps the work surface free and provides more directed light. For those who share a room, having a wall light on each side allows independence without disturbing the other person.

In the kitchen, a lamp of this type above a work area or next to a window can complement the general lighting without the need for complex installations. In the kitchen it can also function as a secondary light point when the main lighting has already been resolved with another system. In the bathroom, the wall light makes sense next to the mirror or in areas where more precise light is needed. In small bathrooms, where ceilings tend to be low, a wall light avoids the feeling of confinement that a large flush mount can create.

The possibility of using CONFETTI also as a ceiling flush mount expands the options. In rooms where the ceiling is the only available installation point, it becomes the straightforward solution. Thus, the same lamp can adapt to different rooms in the home without changing collection or aesthetic.

The concept of "islands" proposed by the collection makes sense in large spaces: several wall lights distributed across the wall or several flush mounts on the ceiling create differentiated lighting zones without the need for partitions or architectural changes. In a dining room open to the living room, for example, different light points can visually separate the areas of use. In a more enclosed dining room, a single piece centred on the ceiling may be sufficient.

Local production in Valencia and the use of recycled plastic are details that influence the purchasing decision for many people. Not as a marketing argument, but as part of what the product is. A modern lamp that takes into account where its materials come from and where it is manufactured.
