Overview

The BERNI wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for those who want a clean, tidy finish without sacrificing detail. It is part of the BERNI collection by Nahtrang, a line conceived around simplicity: pure shapes, careful proportions, and fabric shades that soften the light before it reaches the space.

This wall light works well in the bedroom, living room, or hallway. It serves as the main light source in small spaces or as a complementary light point in larger rooms. Its matte white finish blends effortlessly into Nordic-style interiors, minimalist settings, or any décor that does not seek excessive prominence.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior lighting. Its catalogue focuses on products with its own design, conceived for everyday domestic use.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the wall can support the weight of the assembly. The wiring must be switched off at the electrical panel before any intervention. If the installation involves a direct connection to the mains, it is recommended that a qualified electrician carry it out. The wall light has a switch on the base, which allows it to be turned on and off without needing to access the room's main switch.

The fabric shade requires gentle cleaning with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemical products on the fabric or the steel body. Do not use the lamp with bulbs exceeding 15 W. Periodically check that the wall fixing is secure.

Design and use

The BERNI wall light has a simple, well-resolved construction. The body is made of steel with a matte white finish, a material that provides solidity without adding visual weight. It has no decorative edges or superfluous elements: the shape speaks for itself. Added to this structure is a fabric shade that filters and diffuses the light, preventing direct glare and creating a warmer, more restful atmosphere.

The switch integrated into the base is one of the most practical details of this wall light. It allows you to control the lamp directly, without depending on the room's switch. This makes it especially convenient as a reading light in the bedroom, placed at bedside table height, or as ambient lighting in the living room, where an independent light point separate from the main circuit is sometimes preferred.

In the dining room, a wall light like this can complement the central lamp and soften the shadows left by a single overhead light source. In the kitchen, it can work as supplementary lighting in work areas or in the seating area if the space allows. In hallways, where light is often scarce and space is limited, this model fits well: its dimensions are compact and its profile does not obstruct the passage.

The bathroom is another space where this wall light makes sense. Placed on either side of the mirror, it provides more even facial illumination than a ceiling lamp. The fabric shade softens the contrast and avoids the harshness that more direct bathroom lights can sometimes have. If you are looking for bathroom luminaires that are not too technical or cold, this model can be a balanced option.

The BERNI collection has a refined style that is not associated with any particular trend. It is not industrial, not rustic, not ornate. It is simply discreet and well made. That makes it compatible with many types of interiors: from a room with modern furniture to a space with more classic pieces. Matte white is one of the most versatile finishes, because it does not compete with the colour of the walls or with the rest of the decorative elements.

The fabric shade is the component that most defines the character of this lamp. The fabric acts as a filter: light passes through, but reaches the space already processed, without harshness. The result is lighting that does not strain the eyes and helps create a calm atmosphere. In a bedroom, this is especially noticeable at night, when you want soft light for reading or relaxing without activating the entire room's lighting system.

The use of an E27 LED bulb is compatible with the vast majority of options available on the market. The bulb is not included, so you can choose the colour temperature that best suits the use you intend to give it: warm light for cosier settings, neutral light if you prefer something more functional. Remember that the maximum permitted power is 15 W.

Questions and answers

Does the BERNI wall light include a bulb, or does it need to be purchased separately?

The bulb is not included. The wall light is compatible with E27 LED bulbs of up to 15 W. You can choose the colour temperature you prefer depending on the atmosphere you want to create in the room.

Does the switch on the base allow the lamp to be turned off without going to the wall switch?

Yes. The wall light has a switch integrated into the base that allows it to be turned on and off directly. It is useful when used as a reading light in the bedroom or as an independent light point in the living room or dining room.

Are the dimensions of the wall light suitable for hallways or narrow spaces?

The wall light measures 200 mm in length, 320 mm in height, and 290 mm in depth. These are compact dimensions that allow it to be installed in hallways without the lamp body taking up too much of the available space.
