Overview

The VESPER wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for those looking for more than basic lighting. It works well in the living room, bedroom, hallway, or bathroom — any space where light needs to do more than simply illuminate. The shape of the wall light is built from two bodies that play with the contrast between solid and void, giving it a clear visual presence without feeling overwhelming.

The VESPER series captures the concept of interior lighting in a straightforward way: without unnecessary ornament, with a geometry that integrates well into modern interiors. The matte white finish means the wall light does not compete with the rest of the décor, but rather becomes part of it.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in designing luminaires for interiors and exteriors. Their products combine aesthetic and functional criteria, designed for everyday home use.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, check that the wall is capable of supporting the weight of the assembly. Since it is a direct wall-mounted fixture, it is important that the bracket is properly anchored to the structure — not just to the surface finish. If the wiring is not prepared for a wall luminaire, it is advisable to consult an electrician before proceeding. The operating voltage is 100V to 240V, making it compatible with the standard electrical network in Spain and most countries.

The steel surface with matte white finish is easy to clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the finish. Do not touch the bulb with your hands when it is on. Always use E14 LED bulbs within the indicated power limit.

Design and use

The VESPER wall light mounts directly to the wall and occupies a compact space: 450 mm high, 220 mm long, and 150 mm deep. It is a lamp that does not protrude excessively, yet has enough presence to define a corner or complement a piece of furniture.

The body is made of steel with a matte white finish. The steel provides solidity and a clean surface that does not visibly accumulate dust. Matte white is a colour that works with most backgrounds: white, grey, beige, or darker tones — the wall light adapts without forcing anything.

The construction from two distinct bodies is what gives this lamp its character. The relationship between the solid part and the empty spaces creates a visual interplay that changes depending on the position of the light and the angle from which the wall light is viewed. It is not a forced decorative effect — it simply results from how the piece is designed.

In the living room, the wall light can complement the central lighting or be used as a secondary light source next to a sofa or bookcase. In the bedroom it works well as a replacement for the bedside lamp, especially when space is limited and there is no room for an additional surface. In the dining room it can accompany a ceiling light to soften the distribution of light throughout the rest of the space.

In the kitchen, placed above a work area or next to tall cabinets, the wall light provides functional light without taking up counter or worktop space. In the bathroom, if the installation is intended for damp environments, it can be placed in areas that allow it according to regulations. In hallways, where lighting is typically punctual and space is narrow, this type of wall light resolves the need well without installing anything on the ceiling.

The lamp uses an E14 LED bulb, which is not included. It is a common socket that is easy to find in any lighting or appliance store. The power limit is 8 W, sufficient for an ambient or supplementary light point. Energy class D indicates moderate consumption within the range of this type of decorative lighting.

The VESPER design fits well in interiors with clean lines. It can also coexist with materials such as wood or Nordic-style elements without the overall result feeling discordant. The key is that the wall light does not try to impose itself — it accompanies.

Questions and answers

Does the VESPER wall light require concealed wiring in the wall, or can it be installed with exposed wiring?

The wall light is designed to be mounted directly on the wall. The cleanest installation is achieved with concealed wiring, although it can technically be adapted to other solutions depending on the existing installation type. In any case, it is recommended that the connection be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Is the E14 LED bulb a standard type or does it require a specific format?

The bulb is not included. The E14 socket is one of the most common on the market, and accepts LED bulbs of that format up to a maximum of 8 W. There is no need to look for a special reference — any E14 LED within that power limit is compatible.

Does the weight of the wall light require a special type of wall anchor?

The net weight of the wall light is 1.11 kg, which places it in a standard range for this type of wall luminaire. In most cases, standard anchors are sufficient. If the wall is made of plasterboard or has a lightweight finish, it is advisable to secure the anchor to the inner structure for greater stability.
