Overview

This wall lamp in an antique gold finish is a simple option for those looking for focused lighting without the fixture taking up visual prominence. The design places the bulb exposed, so the light itself becomes part of the decorative element. It is a piece designed for spaces where a specific light point is wanted, without complex structures or shades that interfere with the atmosphere.

The wall light works well in transit areas such as hallways, but also fits in the bedroom or living room when you want to add a touch of warmth to a specific wall. Its reduced scale makes it useful in corners where a larger lamp would be excessive.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a track record in the interior lighting sector. This particular model was designed by Faro Team, the brand's in-house team, and reflects their line of minimalist products with carefully crafted finishes.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light, you need a power outlet on the wall or an already-wired light point. As it is a surface-mounted luminaire with wall fixing, it is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician. Before starting, make sure to cut the power supply. The wall light supports universal voltage, making it compatible with the standard domestic electrical network. The bulb is not included, so it is advisable to have an E27 LED bulb on hand.

For maintenance, simply clean the aluminum surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive products or liquids that could affect the gold finish. Do not handle the bulb with bare hands when it is hot, and always disconnect the lamp before any intervention.

Design and use

The wall light is made of aluminum, a material that provides lightness and strength to the whole. With a net weight of just 240 grams, it does not require special anchors on standard masonry walls. The compact structure, measuring 60 mm in its main dimensions and 140 mm in depth, allows it to be placed in tight spaces without being intrusive.

The antique gold finish is one of the features that sets this lamp apart from other more neutral options on the market. It is not a bright or aggressive gold, but an aged tone that integrates well with materials such as wood, linen, or textured surfaces. In a room with warm-toned furniture, the wall light acts as a natural complement. In a more contemporary setting, the contrast itself can be the visual point of interest.

The design concept places the bulb as the focal point. There is no shade, no diffuser: the light comes directly from the source, creating a focused and warm effect. This type of lighting is common in vintage or industrial style proposals, although in this case the gold finish brings it closer to a more elegant register. The result is a decorative wall light that coexists well with different styles without imposing itself.

In the living room, this type of wall light can be placed on either side of a console table or flanking a mirror. The warm light provided by an LED bulb of an appropriate color temperature enhances the atmosphere without overwhelming the space. In the bedroom, it serves as bedside lighting when there is no nightstand or when you prefer to keep that surface free. Two symmetrical wall lights on either side of the bed give an orderly and functional result.

In the kitchen it can be used to highlight a specific point, such as the space above a countertop or next to a shelf. It is not a general light source, but as supplementary lighting it fulfills its function well. In the dining room, one or more wall lights can complement the main lighting and soften the atmosphere during the evening hours.

In the bathroom, as long as the installation complies with the safety zones established by electrical regulations, this wall light can provide warmer light than typical recessed spotlights. It is a subtle change that transforms the perception of the space.

In hallways it functions as both soft signage and decoration. A row of wall lights at the same height creates visual continuity and resolves the lighting of transit areas without resorting to recessed elements.

Questions and answers

Does the wall light include the E27 LED bulb?

No, the bulb is not included. The wall light is compatible with E27 screw-cap bulbs in LED format, with a maximum power of 15 W. It must be purchased separately before installation.

Do the reduced dimensions of the wall light limit its use to small spaces?

Not necessarily. With a 60 mm diameter and 140 mm depth, it is a compact-scale lamp that adapts both to small spaces and to large walls where a precise light point is sought without overloading the visual composition.

Can the antique gold finish deteriorate with regular cleaning?

The aluminum body with antique gold finish holds up well with gentle cleaning. It is recommended to use a dry or slightly damp cloth, without chemical products or abrasive scrubbers, to preserve the tone and texture of the finish over time.
