Overview

The STAN wall light by FARO is an indoor lamp designed for those looking for a practical and good-looking lighting solution. It mounts directly to the wall and allows you to direct the light beam wherever needed thanks to its articulated system. It works well in the bedroom, next to the headboard, where it is convenient to control where the light points without having to get up.

The wall light includes its own switch, which simplifies daily use without depending on the plug or the room's main switch. It is made of aluminium and ABS in a white finish, giving it a light and discreet profile that fits effortlessly into different environments.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in the design and manufacture of home luminaires. Its catalogue covers solutions for different rooms and styles, with attention to constructive detail and product functionality in everyday use.

Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation: before installing the wall light, make sure the power is switched off at the electrical panel. The wall light is fixed to the wall using anchors suited to the surface type: masonry, drywall or similar. It is recommended that the electrical installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if there is no existing junction box at the chosen point. The GU10 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately before using the wall light.

Use and maintenance: to clean the surface of the wall light, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the white finish of the body. Do not handle the bulb with bare hands when it is on or immediately after switching it off. Periodically check that the wall anchors remain in good condition.

Design and use

The STAN wall light features a compact design that takes up no unnecessary visual space. Its aluminium and ABS body combines durability with a reduced weight, making both transport and installation easier. The matte white finish blends naturally with light-coloured walls and does not compete with other decorative elements in the surroundings.

The articulated system is one of the most useful aspects of this lamp. It allows you to move the light focus according to the need of the moment: pointing it towards a book, towards the bedside table or towards a specific area of the room. In the bedroom, this makes a real difference. Each person can adjust their wall light independently without disturbing the other side of the bed.

The integrated switch adds a convenience that is noticeable day to day. There is no need to search for the plug in the dark or depend on the wall switch to turn the lamp on or off. It is a small detail, but one that changes the experience of use.

Compatibility with a GU10 LED bulb makes energy consumption efficient. With a maximum power of 5 W, this wall light provides directed lighting that does not consume excessively and allows you to choose the colour temperature that best suits the desired atmosphere, depending on the bulb installed.

Although its most natural use is in the bedroom, next to the headboard, this wall light also fits in other rooms. In the living room, placed at the right height, it can be used to illuminate a reading area or highlight a specific point on the wall. In the dining room, a pair of well-positioned wall lights create a more intimate ambient light than that offered by a ceiling lamp. In hallways with little natural light, it provides functional lighting without taking up floor or ceiling space.

The bathroom is another environment where this type of wall light proves practical. Installed on either side of the mirror, it provides more uniform and direct light than a ceiling-mounted downlight. It can also be incorporated in secondary or guest bathrooms where a simple, well-finished solution is sought. In hallways, its discreet profile does not get in the way and fulfils its function without drawing excessive attention.

The white colour of the body makes it easy to combine with different interior styles. It works well in Nordic-style environments, where light surfaces and clean lines predominate. It also adapts to more modern or minimalist interiors without creating contrast. Its design is not eye-catching, which allows it to fade into the background and let the light do the work.

For those renovating a room or updating the lighting in several rooms, this wall light offers a consistent option that can be repeated at different points throughout the home without becoming monotonous. The kitchen, dining room, living room or bathroom can share the same model without the overall result feeling forced.

Questions and answers

Does the STAN wall light include the GU10 LED bulb?

No, the light source is not included. A GU10 LED bulb must be purchased separately before the wall light can be used.

Does the articulated system of the wall light allow the light to be directed in different directions?

Yes. The wall light features an articulated system that allows the light beam to be directed towards whatever point is needed, which is especially useful at bedside tables or reading areas.

Does the switch on the STAN wall light completely cut the power or does it only turn off the light?

The integrated switch turns off the lamp, but does not cut the electrical current from the circuit. For maintenance work or bulb replacement, it is necessary to disconnect the power at the electrical panel.
