Overview

The STAN wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for those who want something functional without sacrificing detail. It mounts directly to the wall and allows you to direct the light beam thanks to its articulated system, giving you the freedom to aim the light exactly where it is needed. It is a practical option for the bedroom, especially on either side of the bed, although it also fits well in other corners of the home.

The wall light includes its own switch, so there is no need to get up to turn off the light or rely on the room's main switch. That small detail makes a noticeable difference in daily life.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a long track record in indoor and outdoor lighting. Their products combine functional design with quality materials, designed for different types of spaces and styles.

Installation and specifications

Installing this wall light requires an electrical connection point on the wall at the desired position. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician. Before starting, make sure to cut the power at the electrical panel. The wall light is mounted on a flat surface; check that the wall can support the fixing and use appropriate anchors for the type of material. The GU10 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately.

To clean the wall light, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the black aluminum and ABS finish. Do not handle the bulb while the lamp is on or immediately after switching it off, as it may be hot. Always disconnect the power before changing the bulb or making any adjustments to the head orientation.

Design and use

The STAN wall light has a compact body made of aluminum and ABS, with a matte black finish. The combination of these materials gives it a lightweight yet solid structure that does not accumulate dust easily and maintains a clean appearance with little maintenance. Its reduced dimensions, with a height of 105 mm and a depth of 102 mm, allow it to be placed without taking up too much visual space.

What makes this lamp useful in the bedroom is its adjustable head. You can adjust the direction of the light beam according to what you need at any given moment: reading, illuminating a specific corner, or simply creating a more intimate atmosphere at night. The switch integrated into the body of the wall light means you do not have to search for the wall switch when you are already in bed.

In the living room, this wall light works well as a supplementary light source. Placed next to a reading armchair or above a console table, it provides directed light without the need for a floor lamp. The black finish gives it a modern look that suits furniture with clean lines, both in dark tones and in light combinations with natural wood.

In the kitchen or dining room, it can be used to reinforce the lighting of specific areas. In the kitchen, aimed at the countertop, it provides task lighting without taking up surface space. In the dining room, placed above a sideboard or buffet, it adds a warm and functional light point. In both cases, the discreet design of the wall light does not compete with the rest of the decorative elements.

In the bathroom, as long as the installation is carried out in a dry zone and complies with applicable electrical regulations, this type of wall lamp can function as auxiliary lighting. It also fits well in hallways where a focused light is needed without installing downlights in the ceiling. Long hallways often benefit from wall lights like this one, which direct light downward or to the sides as needed.

The black color makes it a versatile piece. It integrates easily into Nordic-style interiors, in more industrial design settings, or in rooms where contrasts between light and dark colors predominate. It is not a lamp that draws attention on its own, but it complements any existing wall composition well.

The compatible light source is GU10 LED, a very widespread format that is easily found in any store. By using LED, energy consumption remains low and the bulb's lifespan is considerably longer than with traditional light sources.
