Overview

The SOLE wall light by FARO is a round wall lamp with a ribbed structure in grey. It is designed for residential interiors where focused and balanced lighting is needed without taking up floor or ceiling space. It mounts directly on the wall and can emit light from one or both sides, providing flexibility when planning how to illuminate a room.

The ribbed-texture aluminium and steel finish gives it a defined character. It is not a lamp that goes unnoticed, but it does not draw excessive attention either. It fits well in spaces where a modern touch is desired without resorting to overly decorative elements.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior and exterior lighting. Their products are designed for real domestic use: solid materials, refined finishes, and compatibility with the standard installation systems found in homes.

Installation and specifications

Installing this wall light requires an existing electrical point in the area where the lamp is to be placed. As it is a surface-mounted wall luminaire, it is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician. Before starting assembly, cut the power supply at the distribution board. The lamp accepts voltages between 100 V and 240 V, making it compatible with standard electrical installations in Spain and most countries. The GU10 LED bulb is not included, so it must be purchased separately before use.

The aluminium and steel body requires no special maintenance. To clean the surface, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the grey finish. Do not handle the lamp while it is on or while the power supply is connected. Keep the bulb correctly installed to avoid poor contacts.

Design and use

The SOLE wall light has a compact profile that does not interfere with the room's space. At 155 mm in height and only 65 mm in depth, it sits flush against the wall discreetly. This makes it particularly useful in hallways or passageways where the space between walls is limited and a bulky lamp would be impractical.

The ribbed structure of the body adds a visual detail that sets this wall light apart from smoother, more generic models. The texture captures light differently depending on the angle from which it is viewed, adding depth to the grey finish without the need for additional decorative elements.

One of the most practical features of this lamp is the ability to direct light to one side only or to both sides. This allows it to be adapted to different situations. In a bedroom, for example, it can be used emitting light upwards to create a diffused atmosphere that is not harsh before sleep. In a living room or dining room, the option to illuminate in both directions helps distribute light more evenly throughout the space.

In the bathroom, a wall light of these dimensions works well next to the mirror or in areas where supplementary light is needed without installing an additional ceiling light. The GU10 LED bulb allows for a range of colour temperatures, making it easy to adapt the ambience to the function of the space. In the kitchen, placed above a work area, it provides direct and functional lighting.

The aluminium and steel body ensures durability. These are materials that do not deform over time or lose their finish easily. The net weight of 0.26 kg makes the wall light easy to handle during installation and means it does not require complex wall fixings.

In terms of compatibility with different interior styles, the grey colour and geometric form of SOLE adapt well to both modern environments and more understated schemes. It combines effortlessly with white, grey, or neutral-toned walls. It also fits into spaces that combine materials such as wood or matte surfaces. In Nordic-style hallways or in living rooms with clean lines, this wall light integrates without disrupting the overall composition.

The ability to install it in a dining room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, or transit areas such as hallways makes it a versatile option. It is not intended to be the sole light source in a large room, but rather to complement general lighting or to highlight specific zones within a space.

Questions and answers

Can the SOLE wall light emit light upwards only, or also downwards simultaneously?

Yes. This wall light allows you to configure the light emission from one or both sides. You can choose to illuminate in one direction only or in both at the same time, depending on what you need in each room.

What type of bulb does this lamp require, and is it included in the box?

The lamp uses a GU10 LED bulb of up to 8 W. It is not included in the package, so it must be purchased separately before installing the wall light.

Can the aluminium and steel body of the wall light be installed in a bathroom with normal humidity?

The SOLE wall light is categorised as an interior luminaire. For installation in a bathroom, it is recommended to place it away from direct contact with water, such as next to the mirror or on walls outside the shower area.
