Overview

The LUNE wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for those looking for something simple and well-executed. Its terracotta finish gives it a character of its own without being eye-catching: that warm tone between clay and rust fits well in contemporary settings, in spaces with natural materials, and also in more neutral interiors where a discreet touch of color is desired.

It mounts directly onto the wall, with no additional structures. The result is a compact lamp with clean lines that serves its purpose without occupying visual space. It is a valid option for the bedroom, living room, hallway, or any corner where you want to add focused light with a certain personality.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in interior lighting. Its products combine specific technical criteria with a carefully considered aesthetic approach, designed for everyday home use.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light correctly, it is recommended to have an outlet or recessed wiring at the mounting point. As it is a surface-mounted luminaire fixed to the wall, the installer must locate a solid point in the surface. If the wall is made of drywall or hollow material, suitable anchors for that type of surface should be used. It is recommended that the electrical connection be carried out by a qualified professional. Before any intervention, it is mandatory to cut the power at the main panel. The GU10 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately.

To keep the wall light in good condition, clean the body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the terracotta finish. Do not handle the lamp while the power is connected. Replace the bulb only when the wall light is disconnected and the previous bulb has had time to cool down.

Design and use

The LUNE wall light has a restrained shape and a discreet presence. Its dimensions are compact: 155 mm in height, 80 mm in length, and 65 mm in depth. This makes it a lamp that adapts well to walls with little free space, without creating a heavy presence or blocking the way in narrow hallways.

The body is made of aluminium and steel, materials that provide solidity without adding excessive weight. The terracotta exterior finish is not simply a color: it has a texture and tone reminiscent of fired clay and untreated materials. This brings it closer to an organic and contemporary register at the same time. It is not an industrial wall light or a strictly Nordic piece, but it can coexist with those styles without looking out of place.

In the bedroom, this type of wall light works as an alternative to the bedside lamp. Installed at a medium height, it directs light downward or forward and leaves the surface of the nightstand free. It is a comfortable solution for reading or for having a warm light source before sleep. The terracotta tone pairs especially well with bedding in earth tones, olive green, or off-white.

In the living room, the wall light can be used to complement the general lighting. Placed on a side wall, it adds depth to the atmosphere without competing with the main light. If the living room combines natural materials such as wood or plant elements, the finish of this lamp integrates easily.

In the bathroom, a wall light of these characteristics can work well as supplementary light next to the mirror, provided it is installed in an area out of direct reach of water and that the installation complies with electrical regulations for wet spaces. The terracotta finish adds a warm tone that softens the usual coldness of bathrooms with a lot of white or grey.

In the kitchen and dining room, this lamp can act as decorative or supplementary light in work areas or passageways. In a kitchen with neutral-colored fronts, the terracotta adds an accent without being excessive. In the dining room, installed on the wall next to the table, it helps create a more intimate atmosphere during meals.

In hallways, this wall light makes particular sense. Its compact body does not protrude too much from the wall, and the light it emits can be sufficient for orientation without the need for intense overhead lighting. Several wall lights in the same hallway, placed at regular intervals, give a neat and functional result.

Compatibility with a GU10 LED bulb allows you to choose the color temperature that best suits the atmosphere: warmer for bedrooms or dining rooms, more neutral for kitchens or bathrooms. It is a detail that provides flexibility to adjust the light according to the use of each room.

Questions and answers

Does the LUNE wall light accept any GU10 bulb or only LED?
