Overview

The LUNE wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for those looking for clean, direct lighting without sacrificing a refined finish. Its matte black body integrates well in rooms where visual order matters: bedroom, living room, hallway, or bathroom. It takes up no space, creates no visual noise, and fulfills its function without drawing too much attention to itself.

The lamp mounts directly to the wall and works with a GU10 LED bulb, making it an efficient option for accent or supplementary lighting. It adapts equally well to a full renovation or a partial update of the space.

FARO is a Spanish company with experience in indoor and outdoor lighting. Their products combine durable materials with functional design, intended for real domestic use.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the area of the wall where it will be mounted is free of hidden pipes or electrical cables. The wall light requires connection to the mains, so it is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician. Check that the voltage of your home installation is compatible with the indicated range. The GU10 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately before using the lamp.

To clean the surface of the wall light, use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the black finish. Before any maintenance task, always disconnect the lamp from the power supply. Do not touch the bulb with bare hands when it is hot.

Design and use

The LUNE wall light has a body built from aluminium and steel, two materials that combine lightness with strength. The total weight is under 250 grams, which makes installation easier even on plasterboard or drywall with the appropriate fixings. Its compact dimensions — 155 mm high, 80 mm long, and 65 mm deep — mean it projects very little from the wall and does not obstruct movement in narrow areas.

The matte black finish covers the entire surface of the body uniformly. This type of finish does not reflect ambient light, which helps the lamp fade into the visual background when switched off. When the lamp is on, attention is directed toward the cone of light rather than the body of the wall light. This is a detail that proves useful in bedrooms or living rooms where a cosy atmosphere is desired.

In the living room, a pair of wall lights placed on either side of a sofa or television creates balanced lateral lighting. This type of light complements the general ceiling lighting well and reduces harsh shadows. In the bedroom, the wall light advantageously replaces bedside table lamps: it frees up surface space, keeps cables tidy, and allows the light to be directed exactly where it is needed for reading or working.

In the bathroom, the LUNE wall light can be installed above the mirror or on either side of it to provide front-facing light that avoids shadows on the face. This is a common solution in bathrooms where ceiling lighting is not sufficient for grooming tasks. The black finish also holds up well against the ambient humidity typical of these spaces, without losing its visual presence over time.

In hallways and transit areas, the lamp serves a practical function: it illuminates the path without the need to install a ceiling light. Narrow hallways benefit from this type of solution, where a ceiling lamp could be excessive or difficult to install. Placed at the correct height, the wall light guides movement discreetly.

In the kitchen or dining room, the wall light can be used as accent lighting over a work area or as a light source above a side table. In the dining room, two wall lights facing each other at the same height can create a warmer atmosphere than a single overhead light source.

The design of the LUNE wall light adapts well to modern interiors and also to spaces with industrial elements or clean lines. Black is a colour that works well with materials such as exposed concrete, brushed metal, or dark wood. In more neutral interiors, the wall light adds a touch of contrast without being excessive.

Compatibility with GU10 LED bulbs allows the colour temperature to be chosen according to the desired atmosphere: warm light for rest areas such as the bedroom or living room, cool or neutral light for bathrooms, kitchens, or workspaces. This provides flexibility to adapt the same wall light to different uses within the home.

Questions and answers

Does the LUNE wall light include the GU10 LED bulb in the box?

No, the bulb is not included. The lamp is compatible with GU10 LED bulbs of up to 8 W, which must be purchased separately before installing the wall light.

Is the aluminium and steel body suitable for installing the wall light in a bathroom with humidity?

Yes, the combination of aluminium and steel with a black finish offers a surface that tolerates the ambient humidity typical of domestic bathrooms well. However, avoid direct exposure to water or constant splashing.

Does the 100V–240V voltage allow this wall light to be used in any standard domestic electrical installation?

Yes, that range covers the voltages commonly found in most countries, including the standard domestic installations of 220V–230V typical in Spain and Europe.
