Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, check that the wall outlet is correctly wired and that the power is switched off. This lamp is fixed directly to the wall, so it is advisable to mark the anchor points carefully to ensure it is level. For masonry walls, an expansion plug is recommended; for plasterboard, a special hollow-wall anchor. Since this is a wall light with a protruding arm, make sure it does not interfere with doors, frames or other nearby elements. If you have any doubts about the wiring, consult an electrician.

To clean the metal body, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. The ash wood shade should not be cleaned with abrasive products or excessive water. A soft, dry cloth is sufficient for routine maintenance. The PMMA diffuser can be cleaned with a soft cloth; avoid solvents or alcohol-based products, as they can damage the surface. Do not handle the lamp while the power is on.

Design and use

LOOP LED is a wall lamp belonging to a series designed specifically by Estudi Ribaudí for the FARO brand. The collection's name refers to the shape of the metal arm, which starts from a round base fixed to the wall and ends by wrapping around the wooden shade, as if embracing it. This is a constructive detail that gives it visual coherence and makes the wall light have a recognisable silhouette.

The body is made of steel in a matte black finish, a robust material that adds no unnecessary visual weight. Matte black does not reflect ambient light, which means the lamp integrates without imposing itself, both in interiors with neutral tones and in darker spaces. The shade is made of ash wood, a material that adds texture and warmth without feeling overdone. The combination of metal and wood is one of the most common in contemporary lighting design because it balances sobriety and naturalness.

The PMMA diffuser with a translucent finish allows the 2700K LED light to be distributed softly into the space towards which the wall light points. It is not a cold or technical light: it is a light that accompanies, similar in tone to an electric candle or a classic bulb. This makes it especially suitable for living rooms and bedrooms, where lighting must contribute to rest and not interfere with it. Does the LOOP LED lamp include the bulb or does it need to be purchased separately?

The SMD LED light source is included. No additional bulb is needed to start using the wall light.

Is it possible to dim the intensity of this wall lamp without installing an external dimmer?

The wall light's light source is dimmable, but to take advantage of this function, a compatible dimmer switch must be present in the wall's electrical installation. If the existing outlet does not have a dimmer, one will need to be installed.

Can the ash wood shade darken or warp from the heat of the LED lamp?

The 6W LED light source generates very little heat compared to traditional sources, so it does not pose a risk to the ash wood under normal conditions of use.
